If I could go back and do my first pregnancy again, there are definitely a few things I'd do differently.

I'd hire a doula sooner.

I'd spend less time worrying about "staying fit" and more time preparing my body for birth.

I'd focus more on learning how to relax my pelvic floor instead of constantly trying to strengthen everything.

I'd spend more time preparing mentally for labor—because birth is just as much mental as it is physical.

And I'd absolutely continue getting adjusted throughout pregnancy. Looking back, chiropractic care was one of the most valuable tools I had for staying comfortable, moving well, and preparing my body for birth.

But the biggest thing?

I'd trust my body more.

Less fear. Less overthinking. More confidence that my body and baby knew exactly what they were doing.

If you're pregnant right now, know this: you don't have to do everything perfectly. Focus on supporting your body, preparing your mind, and trusting the process.

What's one thing you'd do differently if you could go back to a previous pregnancy? Let me know below.

Your spine needs movement just like every other joint in your body.

In this video we're showing flexion and extension, but those are only two directions. Your spine also needs side bending and rotation, and ideally the ability to combine all of those movements together.

One of the biggest reasons people get stiff is because they stop moving in certain directions. Over time, the body adapts to whatever positions we spend the most time in.

If you want to keep your back feeling good, don't just strengthen it. Move it. Explore different positions. Maintain access to the ranges of motion you already have.

What's one movement that always feels stiff for you?

Need help figuring out why your back keeps tightening up? Send us a message and let's chat.

We all know about tummy time.

It's great for helping babies build the strength they need to lift and control their head.

But what about side-to-side neck strength?

One of my favorite ways to work on this is through simple lap play. By gently leaning your baby from side to side, you're encouraging them to activate the muscles that keep their head centered and upright.

The goal is to challenge them just enough that they can keep their head in the middle—not tilted to one side and not turning their head.

We typically start introducing this around 8–12 weeks, depending on the baby. Younger babies may need a little extra support from your hand as they build strength.

This is something we work on all the time with babies who:
• Prefer looking one direction
• Have a head tilt
• Have torticollis
• Need help improving head control

One thing I always remind parents: stretching isn't enough.

If there's tension, we need to improve mobility. But once we create that movement, we also need to build strength so baby can hold those positions on their own.

That's where the magic happens.

Save this for later if you have a little one working through a neck preference or torticollis. 💛

I started working with Antonio at Live Loud two years ago, immediately following a work injury. From our very first meeting, I felt hopeful about what we could accomplish together. At every session, Antonio took the time to listen to what I was experiencing, including everything I had been going through with the other doctors involved in my care. He used that information to better understand my situation and tailor his approach to help me move forward. What truly stood out to me was the time and effort he put into educating me. He showed me exercises, explained ways to manage my pain, and recommended products and techniques that could support my recovery. The level of personal attention and genuine care I received was far beyond what I expected and honestly, more than I had experienced from anyone else throughout my healing process.I truly believe that the team at Live Loud cares about helping people, and I’ve experienced that commitment firsthand. If you’re dealing with pain, an injury, or simply looking for someone who will take the time to listen and work with you, I highly recommend reaching out to Live Loud to see if they’re the right fit for you. Also, I would also like to point out the staff who greets me every time with genuine questions and often our conversations begin and end with much laughter. That is the actual start to the healing for each session. For that, I thank you.

Stop scrolling, mama. This one will save your back.

If you're carrying your baby's car seat the "normal" way and your back, shoulders, or hips are constantly sore, try this instead.

I've been teaching this car seat carry for over 10 years, and almost every mom says the same thing:

"Why didn't anyone show me this sooner?"

Here's how:

✔️ Hinge at your hips to pick up the car seat (a squat works too, but most moms find a hinge easier)

✔️ Face your baby and reach underneath the handle

✔️ Grab where the handle connects to the seat

✔️ Keep your back neutral and stand up using your legs and hips

Think of it like picking up a heavy box or doing a deadlift. Your hips and glutes are built for this. Your low back isn't meant to do all the work.

One of the biggest mistakes I see moms make is rounding through their back every time they pick up a car seat, baby, stroller, diaper bag, or laundry basket. Those little movements add up fast.

Try this the next time you're loading and unloading your little one and let me know how it feels.

Save this post so you can come back to it later, and send it to a mama whose back is tired of carrying that car seat.

Tight pelvic floor? It's more common than most women realize.

When we talk about pelvic floor health, the conversation is usually about strengthening. But for many women..especially during pregnancy and postpartum. The bigger issue is actually too much tension.

A pelvic floor that's constantly gripping isn't necessarily strong. It's often a muscle that has lost its ability to relax, lengthen, and coordinate with the rest of the body.

That tension can contribute to:
• Low back and hip pain
• Pain with intimacy
• Leaking
• Difficulty fully relaxing
• Core and breathing dysfunction

In this video, I'm demonstrating one of my favorite ways to help release pelvic floor tension using a yoga tune-up ball (or lacrosse ball) and a yoga block. It's simple, gentle, and can be a powerful addition to your routine.

Remember: a healthy pelvic floor isn't just strong, it's adaptable. It needs to know when to contract and when to let go.

Save this for later and comment PELVIC if you'd like more pelvic floor mobility and birth prep tips.

Breastfeeding is natural. It shouldn't have to hurt.

If every feeding feels like a struggle, your baby can't seem to stay latched, you're hearing clicking noises, or you've been told there may be a tongue tie, don't ignore it.

So many moms are told to "just give it time" when deep down they know something isn't right.

Sometimes babies need more support. Sometimes there's tension, a tongue tie, or other factors making feeding harder than it should be.

The earlier you get answers, the sooner you can stop guessing and start enjoying feeding your baby instead of dreading it.

You don't have to wait until you're exhausted, frustrated, or ready to quit breastfeeding.

If you're walking with a shift, bent to one side, or feeling pain shooting down your leg, there's a good chance a pinched nerve in your low back is involved.

Your body often leans away from the pressure to protect the irritated nerve. That shift isn't random...it's actually a clue.

When we pay attention to what your body is trying to tell us and recreate the positions that reduce pressure on the nerve, we can often help decompress the area and provide immediate relief.

At Live LOUD Chiropractic & Coaching in Lafayette, Colorado, we help active adults overcome sciatica, disc injuries, pinched nerves, and chronic low back pain so they can get back to hiking, lifting, playing with their kids, and living the adventurous life they were made for.

🚨 One baby milestone that often gets overlooked: SITTING!

We all hear about tummy time, rolling, crawling, and walking… but sitting is an important piece of the movement puzzle, too. 👶🏼

And one of my favorite sitting positions to practice? Side sitting. 🙌

Side sitting challenges your little one to:
✨ Activate their core + obliques
✨ Practice weight shifting
✨ Stay active through their pelvis and trunk
✨ Build strength for transitions
✨ Develop skills that support moving into crawling

If your baby is around 6 months and starting to sit, try incorporating side sitting into playtime — and practice both directions!

Remember: every baby develops at their own pace. If you have concerns about your little one’s movement or milestones, talk with their pediatrician or a qualified pediatric movement professional. 💛
