Stayce and Janet Roberts first met each other when Stayce bought into a music retail store, The Music Center Superstore in Lancaster, Ca that was co-owned by Janet all the way back in 1989. At the time, a celebrity turned politician was in the White House, the economy was booming, and all eyes were on their current venture. Well, folks, as fate would have it, here we are 30 years later with another celebrity turned politician in the White House, the economy is once again booming, and Stayce & Janet are once again partners, only this time, they are also partners in life, and the new Independent Owners of Grocery Outlet of Lake Isabella, CA!

The Players STAYCE ROBERTS - OWNER/OPERATOR - PROUD DAD - MUSICIAN - ELVIS FAN

Stayce comes to us from a little Panhandle town of Texas called Canadian, home of the Canadian Wildcats football team that recently took state. He has a Bachelors’ Degree in Business from DeVry University, plays multiple instruments, and most recently managed the Mammoth Lakes Rite Aid for 10 years.

JANET ROBERTS - OWNER/OPERATOR - PROUD GRANDMA - WEARS AC/DC SHIRTS

Janet hails from Lancaster, Ca where she has owned several different companies. She has a background in Banking, Real Estate, and being awesome. She also spent the last decade managing a Rite Aid in the little mountain community of Bishop, Ca.

The Blueprint In June of 2018, these two crazy kids got a call from GO recruiter (and good friend) Chris Wilson, and the die was cast – the Grocery Outlet adventure began. On a brisk September morning, after going through the 6-Month AOT Program(Aspiring Operators in Training), they got the call that changed their lives when they were awarded the Lake Isabella Grocery Outlet.

The Vision Thanks to a decade in the Eastern Sierra mountains, Stayce & Janet bring their understanding of what it takes to make a seasonal store tick. It is their love of customers, the Grocery Outlet model, and the resort traffic background that fuels their desire to affect positive change in a community that they feel will make the Lake Isabella GO a destination location!

“Our primary focus is to learn the Lake Isabella community, and spend our time trying to deliver Healthy, Organic and most importantly, affordable food offerings for this community,” Janet says. “If customers tell us there is a certain item that they would like to see in our store, it’s our job to try to make that happen for them.” It is that consistent concern for quality customer service that she hopes will help Lake Isabella and its’ surrounding areas embrace them.

Collectively, Stayce & Janet share 4 children, Kimberly, Kyle, Presley & Mandy, as well as 3 grandkids: Khloe, Kane & Lucas. Not quite The Brady Bunch, but every bit as fun.

They also share their passion for excellent customer service with their never-ending Grocery Outlet family.
