"I felt so SEEN." 🧡

That's the part that sticks with us. Pelvic floor symptoms can feel isolating, and a lot of people come in expecting to be rushed or brushed off. Being heard (really heard) is where healing starts.

Thank you for trusting Dr. Kristen with your care! 🍂

Hovering over the toilet = your pelvic floor working overtime 😬🚽

To p*e fully, your pelvic floor muscles need to relax. But when you hover, your hips, glutes, and pelvic floor stay engaged to hold you up, which works against your bladder.

📊 A 2024 study found women emptied their bladders most completely when sitting and leaning forward, and also rated it the most comfortable (Yeh et al., 2024).

✨ Don’t hover, try this instead:
→ Sit all the way down (seat covers or toilet paper are fine)
→ Feet flat or on a stool
→ Lean forward, elbows on knees
→ Relax your belly and breathe, no pushing

Your bladder will thank you 💛 Questions about bladder habits? Link in bio to book with Dr. Ariel or Dr. Kristen.

Your perineum is the area between the vaginal opening and the a**s, and it does a lot of stretching during a vaginal birth. One of the easiest ways to get it ready is perineal massage in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

A Cochrane review of the research found that starting around 34 weeks lowers the chance of a tear that needs stitches and of an episiotomy. The benefit is strongest for people having their first vaginal birth. If you've given birth vaginally before, it's still worth doing: those who massaged had less perineal pain three months after delivery.

Not sure where to start or what it should feel like? This is exactly what we help with at Wonderfully Made PT. We'll teach you the technique, how much pressure to use, and how to fit it into your routine.

Happy Testimonial Tuesday! 🍂

Pelvic floor symptoms rarely have one simple cause. Leaking, pain, or pressure can be tied to breathing patterns, posture, old injuries, stress, or habits you've had for years without noticing. That's why Dr. Kristen takes the time to look at the whole picture instead of just chasing symptoms.

If you've been told your symptoms are "just normal" or tried treatments that only helped for a little while, we'd love to help you dig deeper.

📅 Book your evaluation at the link in our bio or give us a call.

Labor prep isn't just physical — it's emotional too. This mama found both. 💗

"I'm pregnant with my second and wanted to find a PT care team that would help me with labor prep, as well as listen to and take my concerns seriously. Dr. Ariel has been tremendous with my birth prep, and especially understanding about anything and everything on my mind. Highly recommend!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Prepared body. Heard mind. That's the goal. 🤰🙌

Let's talk l**e 💬

About 2 in 3 U.S. women have used lubricant, but most of us were never taught how to read the label. Swipe through for what to look for (and what to skip) before your next trip down the aisle.

✨ What's in the bottle matters
✨ Water-based doesn't automatically mean body-friendly
✨ Ingredients like fragrance, flavor, and warming agents can irritate delicate tissue
✨ Glycerin and propylene glycol near the top of the list can be a flag

Not sure what's right for you? Painful s*x, dryness, or tension that l**e doesn't fix isn't something you have to just live with. Our pelvic floor PTs, Dr. Ariel and Dr. Kristen, are here to help. Link in bio to book. 🤍

Save this for later and send it to a friend who needs it!
