🌟 A Remarkable Recovery at Casa del Sol! 🌟
James “Gary” Maveety was admitted to Casa del Sol on 12/5/2025 after severe respiratory failure, multi-system organ failure, and multiple severe wounds. At admission, he was unable to walk, perform his daily activities, or eat without tube feeding.
Through the dedication of our skilled nursing, wound care, medical, and rehabilitation teams, Gary made an incredible recovery! 💙
On 8/26/2026, Gary returned home walking 250 feet with a walker, independently completing his ADLs, eating on his own, with his feeding tube removed, and all wounds healed. 🎉
At discharge, Gary shared how thankful he was for the care he received. He told us he initially thought he would need hospice and might not survive—but our team helped him turn that around. ❤️
We are incredibly proud of Gary and grateful to everyone who played a part in his journey!
