As we honor the innocent lives lost—from friends and family members to the brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice—it is important to reflect on the resilience, bravery, and sense of community that helped us rebuild and support one another as one strong nation.
In solidarity and remembrance of the courage and strength displayed by our first responders as they immediately launched rescue efforts during the attacks on the Twin Towers, our Las Cruces Fire Department held an event at the NMSU Bleacher Steps to salute those who rushed into the buildings to save lives.
Assisting with today’s event were our very own ATCs, Andy and Montana, alongside NMSU’s Kappa Sigma, as they offered assistance and support to our Las Cruces Fire Department.
We remember. We honor. We stand together.
