MFS NV Family Enrichment Center offering the following services, provided by licensed and experienced developmental specialists, educators, and therapists!
Developmental Enrichment Programs, Educational Support/Tutoring, Basic Skills, Social Skills, and Parent Support Workshops, Family Respite, Sensory Playgroups, Family Events, Extra Curricular Programs including Art, Music and Yoga, Mentoring, Support Groups and Mental Health Services including holistic approaches like EMDR, Alpha-Stim, and Reiki! At MFS NV we provide support and training programs,
seminars, and resources tailored to families' individual needs. We will coach children and families on how to progress through exploration in a natural environment with an emphasis on promoting social-emotional well-being. Our case management includes setting measurable goals, using trial and error to achieve them all while teaching the link between effort and success, allowing the confidence to Attempt, Fail, Learn, and Succeed! We are committed to creating, offering, and supporting programs that assist families and children, with a priority on bringing awareness to and helping our special needs community! Many children in our community are diagnosed with a disability that will impact their lives and that of their families forever. At MFS Nevada we welcome these children and any challenges they may have while providing a safe and sensory-friendly home away from home. Our programs allow families a much-needed break “respite” where they know their child(ren) is treated as special as they are!!! Our center is unique, as we are full inclusion and accept all children, with and without special needs. Our community needs places where everyone is accepted and not treated differently, a place where families can go without judgments, and most importantly a place where you never have to say you're sorry!

“Hands-on training can differ for people with different disabilities, and it’s important that we have partners like AbilityOne, as it helps us properly accommodate different learning styles and place more people in positions where they can flourish and thrive,” said Bob Brown, president and CEO of Opportunity Village. “We are proud to partner with AbilityOne and SourceAmerica to help our community.”
For more than 15 years, Opportunity Village’s partnership with SourceAmerica and AbilityOne has helped ensure employment for people with significant disabilities in Southern Nevada. As a result, countless lives have been changed through opportunities that have led to positive employment outcomes.

This is a great resource to check out for young adults with disabilities, and also seniors!
When building Betty's Village, Opportunity Village constructed a residential community founded on inclusivity and accessibility.
Each residential unit provides the amenities and ADA accommodations to support independent living.
The goal: help ease families minds when solving the gut-wrenching question: "what happens to my child when I'm no longer around?"

If I’m alone and have a heart attack. What am I going to do then? One really good post that can't be shared too often:
1. Pause for 2 minutes and read this:
Let's say that it's 5:25 pm and you're on your way home after an unusually hard work day.
2. You are really tired and irritated. All of a sudden you start to experience pain in the chest, which begins to radiate into the arm and pain in the jaws, a knife in the chest and into the heart. You're just a few miles from the nearest hospital or home.
3. Unfortunately, you don't know if you'll make it…..
4. Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person who took the class didn't tell you how to do it on yourself.
5. How to survive a heart attack when you're alone, because many are alone when they have heart attack and are helpless. A person who starts feeling weak and her heart beats hard has only about 10 seconds before he/she loses consciousness.
6. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Take a deep breath for each cough, and it has to be deep and lingering, like coughing mucus from the bottom of the pelvis. You have to repeat breathing and coughing every second until you get to the hospital or until the heart starts to beat normally.
7. Deep breathing makes it possible to get oxygen into the lungs, and the coughing movements strengthen the heart and blood circulation. The pressure on the heart also helps in regaining a normal heartbeat. This way, victims of heart attack can come to the hospital to receive proper care.
8. Let's say that many others are interested in this topic. You can save your own life!!
9. Cardiologists say that if anyone who receives this message will send it to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
