Question: Do I need to shave before putting on a chastity cage?

Answer: It isn’t required, but it is always helpful to start with a clean slate. That way, you don't have to worry about hair getting caught under the ring or in the lock.
What IS important for long-term comfort is regular maintenance. Eliminating the possibility of ingrown hairs and/or a sticky situation down south (and by “sticky,” we basically mean ball sweat on a sweltering summer day) is always a helpful addition to your routine, along with cage cleaning.

C00chy shave products are multi-purpose - many customers (chastity users and otherwise) use this shave cream to shave their heads and/or condition the arms and legs. The non-foaming shaving formula is moisturizing, and relatively mess-free. All formulas are safe to use anywhere you’d regularly shave on the body - sensitive skin types included. Once we tried these products for the first time, we switched and ditched our other shaving products. The difference is noticeable!

How to stay comfortable while sleeping in your chastity cage:

1: Try to not drink anything 1 hour before bed.

2: Use the bathroom prior to hitting the hay!

3: If you are still uncomfortable after two or three nights, take your cage off before sleeping, and put it back on before getting out of bed.

4: If all else fails, this may be a matter of proper fit. Re-measure your P to make sure your cage is the appropriate size.

🔐 Chastity Tip 🔐

If you're wearing a cage in public and it is bumped, banged or smacked accidentally, we suggest removing the device to inspect the cage - and everything else. Oftentimes, a chastity cage can be a nice barrier for the accidental groin bump. Best practice is to examine all parts, and ensure there was no damage that might compromise your comfort, or the cage's security mechanisms.
