Many in dominant culture celebrate Thanksgiving. More accurately what happened was Thankstaking, taking land, culture, language from First Nations people. What we need for healing is hearing the truth, knowing the truth and believing the truth. Truthgiving and taking responsibility. Response - ability for repairing the wounds. Moving toward right relations is what we are called to do. The Sacred Red Rock being returned to the Kaw Nation is a step in a good direction. This is a journey.

It was a great day being present for the ribbon cutting and later on the Kaw Powwow.

We stand with the original people of Kansas and continue to support the reclaiming of the ancestral lands for all Indigenous people.
