8Oaks Recovery Center 8 Oaks is dedicated to seeing men struggling with substance abuse issues set free in Christ. Also, visit us at www.8oaksrecovery.org

Our program believes that people are created physically and spiritually by God. Therefore, treatment needs a holistic approach to address each aspect. Secular programs often focus on the body and treat substance abuse issues only at a surface level. The problem is that addiction has deep roots, and clinical programs can miss the deeper issues of the heart. At 8Oaks, our pastoral staff walks side-by-side to help individuals find out what drove them to addiction and point them to Christ. While addictions often begin with spiritual root causes, they evolve into physical dependencies that need attention. That's why at 8 Oaks, we have a team of licensed medical professionals to help support individuals in recovery. Freedom from addiction is not found by rising up but rather by growing down. Our goal is to help individuals root themselves deeply in Christ to find true lasting freedom. If you or someone you know needs help, please call +1 (931) 560-4272 to get more information.

🌊 LET’S TAKE A BREAK! 🌿

Today, the 8Oaks guys stepped away from the daily grind and headed out to the creek and falls! 🙌

Recovery isn’t just about learning how to stay sober — it’s about learning how to have fun, build friendships, enjoy life, and make memories without drugs or alcohol. 💪

Sometimes you just need to get outside, get your feet wet, laugh a little, and remember that sobriety can be FUN! 😎🌊

Proud of these guys and the progress they’re making. One day at a time, one memory at a time. ❤️

A Day on the Water 🎣

Today I had the opportunity to take a couple of our 8Oaks staff members and some of our clients out fishing. We didn’t catch a single fish 😂, but honestly, that wasn’t the most important part.

Recovery is about so much more than meetings, classes, and staying sober. It’s about learning how to enjoy life again, building healthy relationships, getting outside, laughing, making memories, and experiencing things that don’t revolve around drugs or alcohol.

Days like today give our guys a chance to relax, connect with staff and each other, and see that there is a fulfilling life waiting for them in recovery.

No fish, but plenty of laughs, good conversation, and memories made. That’s a pretty good day in my book! 🎣💙

Yesterday, Gail Clark and Shawn Kirby were honored to be invited to University of Tennessee Southern to speak with their psychology class about 8Oaks Recovery Center and the reality of addiction and recovery.

It was a great opportunity to share our mission, educate future professionals, and continue building awareness in our community. We’re grateful for the chance to be part of the conversation and to help break the stigma surrounding addiction.

Thank you UT Southern for having us!
