5Strands Affordable Testing 5Strands® is an established health and wellness platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of people and pet parents worldwide.

Our testing helps surface patterns related to food, environment, and life stressors. Welcome To 5Strands Affordable Testing!!

5Strands® Affordable Testing provides a simple at home testing kit to determine the food and environmental substances that may cause non-IgE mediated reactions, known as INTOLERANCES. The testing process is simple and painless due to utilizing a HAIR sample. Intolerance reactions are not life threatening and have a delayed onset with symptoms appearing several hours or days after ingestion or exposure. Common symptoms include eczema, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, pain, inflammation, or weight problems. In addition to the possible 650 food and environmental items, 5Strands® can also test for exposure to 50 metals & minerals and 115 nutritional deficiencies. This comprehensive test can be utilized as a screening tool to allow you to make the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes.

“Our mission is to empower families with a voice about their own health care and that of their pets. We strive to fill the void of consumer-driven needs with our affordable testing.”

Just look at that smile! 🥹💙

There’s nothing quite like seeing your dog happy, healthy, and enjoying the great outdoors.

As pet parents, we want to give them the best life possible. From their daily walks to the food we put in their bowls, every little decision matters.

That’s why at 5Strands, we encourage pet owners to take a closer look at their dog’s food ingredients and explore what might not agree with them.

Because our pets depend on us to make thoughtful choices for them.

We couldn't believe how low this plane was flying 😱

Turns out it was delivering a message from our stomachs!

We have all had that moment where we eat something delicious and regret it afterward.

Did you know 5Strands is NOT an allergy test? 🤔

It's one of the most common misconceptions we hear!

At 5Strands, we use a simple hair sample to assess stress responses to dietary and environmental items using frequency exposure.

Our at-home wellness assessments are available for both people and pets.

We believe understanding more about the items in your daily routine is an important part of making informed wellness decisions.

The meeting has officially started.

Today’s agenda: figuring out what’s actually in the food bowl.

With a simple hair sample, 5Strands provides feedback on dietary items so pet parents can learn more about what may not agree with their pet.

Because they can’t tell us what’s bothering them even if these three definitely look like they have something to say. 🤣

We’re in for the animals! 🐾💚

5Strands was proud to support the Jacksonville Humane Society at their 28th Annual Toast to the Animals!

An amazing night bringing our Jacksonville community together for an even better cause, helping animals in need and supporting the JHS Medical Fund.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about giving animals the love, care, and second chances they deserve. 💙

New season, same goal: helping you understand what may be bothering them.

Fall brings plenty of changes, new routines, seasonal environments, different foods and treats… and sometimes our pets can be sensitive to things we wouldn’t expect.

At 5Strands, we’re here to help pet parents get more information about dietary & environmental items so there’s a little less guessing. 💙

Because every season should be a happy one for the pets we love. 🐾🍁

Ever notice yourself feeling different after certain meals? Bloating is one symptom people commonly associate with foods that don’t agree with them, while symptoms like fatigue, headaches and skin issues can have many possible causes.
The important part is recognizing patterns instead of immediately blaming one ingredient.
Have you ever figured out a food that just doesn’t agree with you?

Men will change their protein powder, blame the pre-workout, cut out dairy for three days… and still have no idea what food is bothering them. 😂
Instead of randomly eliminating foods, having information to help guide what you try removing can make the process a whole lot more structured.

What could be affecting your dog’s gut? 🐾
There are a LOT of factors worth paying attention to and sometimes the things we overlook are the ones worth asking more questions about.
Save this for later & share it with another dog parent. 💙
