CMS (Medicare) has issued a proposal that would impose unprecedented cuts to skin cancer care services.

If finalized, it will create access issues for Seniors at dermatology practices all across the country. In addition to massive cuts to overhead reimbursement for dermatology practices, Medicare proposes cutting reimbursement by 50% for procedures performed on the same day as a visit.

For the majority of the affected procedure codes in dermatology, reimbursement would fall below the cost of supplies, leaving nothing to fund overhead or staff/provider pay.

The majority of skin cancer occurs in Seniors, and dermatologists provide most of the detection and treatment of skin cancer in our country.

To stop this shocking change, please take 30 seconds to make your voice heard!

Please go to www.saveskincancercare.org and sign our Community Statement to demand that Medicare doesn't finalize the proposed rule with these two provisions. Our Seniors deserve to have access to early detection and treatment of skin cancer by their dermatologist.

🎉 ONE YEAR OF DREAMS, GROWTH & GRATITUDE! 🎉

Today marks one year since we received the keys to our building and took the first big step toward making a vision a reality. We started with a big dream, 9 employees, and SO much excitement about what was ahead.

We now proudly offer Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Photodynamic Therapy, and the latest biologic treatments, with services available in Lawton, Altus, and Chickasha.

Most importantly, our mission remains the same: to provide the people of Southwest Oklahoma with excellent service and top-tier dermatologic healthcare close to home, so they don’t have to travel far to receive the care they deserve.
