🔥 THE LINE WORK ON THIS ONE. 🔥
Q absolutely killed this piece. That clean, crisp fine-line work is what separates a tattoo that simply looks good from one that shows real experience and control. The long, straight lines, tiny details, sharp points, and smooth transitions in this dagger are CLEAN. 🗡️
Fine line can be unforgiving — every little movement shows — and Q’s precision speaks for itself. 24 years behind the machine, and it shows in pieces like this.

"They say you should always pay attention to who someone is and read them accordingly... today, I’m taking a moment to read my own story." 📖✨
I am beyond proud and humbled to see my name featured as one of the Women to Watch for 2026 by Southern Maryland News, with a full-length profile in this edition! 🥂
Looking through the table of contents and seeing myself alongside these other 12 extraordinary women is a powerful reminder of the talent right here in our community. To my fellow nominees: you are absolute forces of nature, and it is a privilege to stand in your company. 💖
Reflecting on this feature, it’s surreal to see all of my worlds colliding in print. Beyond the doors of Ribshot, my world is wonderfully chaotic and constantly moving across a few different industries! As the CFO of Abbey Services Inc., I spend my time leading financial strategies and navigating the corporate and government contracting world. I'm also heavily involved in building our future with Lark Investments and growing our portfolio as a Residential Real Estate Investor. When I’m not deep in spreadsheets or business operations, you can find me diving into my creative side as a children’s author (shoutout to Waverly and Sam!), managing my tiny makeup boutique at Shepherd’s Old Field Market, or working on my real estate ventures. Juggling multiple businesses and being a mom is a wild ride, but I wouldn't trade any of it!
Looking back at where it all started brings it full circle. Long before the magazine feature, I was the one standing right by Q's side helping start Ribshot Tattoos from the ground up. While Q handles the needles and brings incredible art to life, I'm the one behind the scenes making your appointments, answering your questions, and keeping the gears turning. I don't tattoo a single line myself, but helping build this shop and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Q through every high, low, and chaotic minute is something I'm so fiercely proud of.
Inside our shop at Shepherd's Old Field Market in Leonardtown, amidst the metallic buzz and the stories translated into ink, we've built a space that means everything to us.
Thank you all so much ❤

She is almost done! This deeply meaningful piece is packed with so much significance, honoring the people who have shaped a life's journey. She will be coming back to add the green to the leaves and a bit more purple to the butterfly.
Butterflies and Linework: The composition features three distinct, vibrant butterflies connected by delicate, flowing botanical linework and fine filigree. Each butterfly incorporates subtle initial details within the wings, adding a deeply personal touch.
Color Palette & Contrast: Rich blues, vibrant pinks, and warm oranges create a striking yet harmonious gradient along the arm. The color blending gives each butterfly a luminous, lifelike quality against the smooth shading of the vines.
Precision and Flow: Q's signature clean linework seamlessly contours to the natural shape of the arm, showcasing an incredible aesthetic that makes the entire piece look like an organic, flowing extension of the body.
