An unpopular opinion for many.

I'm PRO exploring medically-supervised GLP-1 microdosing.

I want women to be able to have that conversation without being shamed.

I also want us to be VERY careful about carrying our old diet-culture habits into medical treatment.

You know the mentality.

A little is good. More must be better. Let's keep pushing.

I lived that way for years with exercise and nutrition.

I'm not interested in repeating it with medication.

What I advocate is an informed, individualized discussion with a prescribing clinician. I partner with a licensed medical professional.

And if medication is appropriate, I want a woman thinking about her muscle, protein, energy, recovery, and long-term health.

We're going there during my FREE Substack Live tomorrow.

Remember when we thought a successful diet meant surviving it?

The hunger. The rules. The workouts that left you crawling up the stairs.

We were taught to celebrate how much weight someone lost without asking much about what it took to get there or what happened next.

And I was right there with you, girl.

The 30-day challenges. The food eliminations. The ridiculous intensity.

I’m not embarrassed that I’ve evolved. I’d be concerned if I hadn’t.

After more than 16 years coaching women, I care a whole lot more about whether your strategy works in your actual, real, FULL life.

Your body is going to need your care long after the challenge ends.

This week’s Substack is a personal one, and I’d love for you to read it.

“Why Do Gen X Women Have to Take EVERYTHING to the Extreme?”

30 days of squats? Sign me up.

No sugar? Let's f-ing go.

Eliminate inflammatory foods? Sure, I'll add that to the list.

Insanity workouts? Oh, you KNOW I was there. 😂

I was the QUEEN of going ALL IN.

Give me a plan, a checklist, and a finish line, and I was going to crush it.

And for a long time, I thought that was what being healthy and disciplined looked like.

Except life doesn't operate in 30-day increments.

You have kids. Careers. Aging parents. Stress. Hormonal changes. Sleepless nights. A million responsibilities.

And when you can't maintain the intensity?

You start feeling like YOU failed.

I spent years participating in that mentality
I've also spent years unlearning it.

At 51, I have a very different definition of what it means to take care of my body.

I wrote about the Gen X obsession with extremes in this week's Substack article, including the ways we're bringing that same mentality into the GLP-1 conversation.

It's personal. A little spicy. And long overdue.

You're lifting weights. Eating your protein. Taking your supplements. Trying to get enough sleep.

And somehow, your midsection still seems to be operating under a completely different set of rules.

I know how frustrating that feels, especially when you've spent YEARS being disciplined about your health.

Before you slash another 300 calories or add another workout, I want you to consider something.

Is your strength training actually progressive?

Are you fueling enough to support muscle?

Are you evaluating your recovery, daily movement, and the bigger picture of your metabolic health?

And have you considered that there may be additional tools worth considering?

After 16+ years coaching women, I can tell you that doing MORE isn't automatically the answer.

Sometimes we need to get a whole lot smarter about WHAT we're doing.

That's exactly why I'm hosting a FREE Substack Live this Friday:

The Last 10 Pounds: 3 Midlife Metabolism Truths Nobody's Telling You.

We're talking MUSCLE. METABOLISM. And yes, MICRODOSING.

Friday, October 23 at 12:30 pm EST.

Join me live on Substack. Come curious. Bring your questions.

We're having the conversation women over 40 deserve to be having. ❤️

If you've restarted your fitness plan six times this year, I want to see the plan.

Seriously.

Because if your plan requires five workouts, elaborate meal prep, perfect sleep, and a schedule that never changes, we've got some work to do.

You're not living in a fitness commercial.

You're managing a career, family, responsibilities, hormones, stress, and everything else midlife likes to throw into the mix.

You need to know what to prioritize.

You need a strength program with a purpose and a way to progress.

You need nutrition guidance that helps you fuel your body without making food another full-time job.

And when life gets FULL, you need to know how to adjust.

That's the kind of coaching I built LIFTED around.

Structured strength training. Sustainable nutrition. Recovery. Coaching, accountability, and a community of women doing this alongside you.

I've spent more than 16 years coaching women, and I can tell you that another collection of random workouts is rarely the missing piece.

You need a plan you understand and support implementing it.

If you're ready to stop piecing this together alone, send me a DM with the word LIFTED.

I'll personally help you explore whether the program is a fit and which level of support makes sense for you.

No mystery. No pressure. Just a real conversation.

Strong is Your Birthright. ❤️

I don't want to spend the next 20 years being physically capable of LESS.

Not acceptable.

At 51, I've got a whole lot of living I intend to do.

Moving to Florida is part of that.

So is growing LIFTED, creating The Recharge Collective, traveling, spending time with the people I love, and continuing to challenge myself.

I want to carry my own bags.

Explore places that require a little stamina.

Get down on the floor and back up without it being a production.

Feel capable in my body as the years go by.

And have the energy to actually ENJOY the life Mark and I are building.

I spent enough years measuring my success by what I weighed.

These days, I care far more about what my body allows me to experience.

That doesn't mean appearance goals are wrong. Or I don't gove a sh@t about how I look or my muscle definition. I DO. A LOT.

It means I want women to have a bigger definition of health than the number on their jeans.

That's part of why the Road to 100 Strong Women means so much to me.

I want more women to discover what happens when they train for strength, fuel themselves well, and start trusting their own capabilities. (Spoiler Alert: This is how you create the body of your dreams, too! Pretty f@cking cool bonus.)

Tell me one thing you're building strength FOR.

A trip? A sport? Your future independence? More energy for your family? Something you've wanted to try for years?

I want to hear it. ❤️

WRECKED 😂

Moving from New York to Florida has involved long days, unpacking, furniture decisions, three dogs adjusting to a new home, and a whole lot of figuring things out as we go.

I love our new chapter.

I'm also very aware that my normal training schedule and daily rhythm need some rebuilding.

And this is where I get to practice what I coach.

I'm not going to cram missed workouts into the next few days to make up for anything.

I'm looking at what my current schedule and energy can realistically support.

Then I'll build from there.

This is what I want for you, too.

When your usual routine gets disrupted, keep the principles that matter and adjust the ex*****on.

Purposeful strength work. Enough food. Protein. Movement. Sleep. Recovery.

You don't need a complicated comeback plan.

You need a way to keep caring for yourself while your actual life is happening.

I put my six favorite strategies into this week's free Substack article.

Read “6 Ways to Protect Your Strength, Energy & Sanity When Life Gets Chaotic” through the link in my bio.

And if your life is currently a beautiful hot mess, welcome to the club. ❤️

The error I see women make time and time again?

Setting it up to work only when life is calm.

I've spent the past week moving 1,200 miles, unpacking boxes, making approximately 458 decisions daily, and trying to figure out where the hell to put food in a kitchen with no pantry. 😂

My usual routine has been turned upside down.

And you know what?

I still care deeply about my strength, my nutrition, my sleep, and how I feel in my body.

I just have to approach those things differently right now.

After 16+ years coaching women, I've watched this pattern play out countless times.

A woman gets into a good rhythm. She's training consistently, preparing meals, feeling stronger.

Then life happens.

A work deadline. A sick parent or kiddo. Travel. A move. A terrible week of sleep. Holidays.

Suddenly, she's convinced she's fallen off track.

Girl, your health habits are supposed to support you through those seasons.

That's where the real work of building sustainable systems comes in.

I wrote this week's Substack article about six ways to protect your strength, energy, and sanity when life gets chaotic.

#6 is KEY.

The article is practical, personal, and completely FREE to read.

Retire the idea that a workout only counts if you have a full hour, perfect energy, and the entire gym to yourself!

You're a woman with a LIFE.

Some weeks, three full strength sessions fit beautifully. Other weeks, you've got 25 minutes between obligations and a brain that's already made 700 decisions.

Use the 25 minutes.

Pick a squat or hinge, an upper-body push, an upper-body pull, and a little core work. Use loads that are appropriate for you. Keep your form solid.

Track what you did so you have somewhere to progress from next time.

That's the part women miss when they're bouncing between random workouts.

The Compound Effect comes from purposeful work repeated over time.

If you're running on fumes, though, recovery may be the better choice. You don't earn extra points for ignoring exhaustion.

Save this for the next week your schedule goes sideways.

Systems over sessions, girl.

Want to make those 25 minutes even MORE effective?

Imagine having a strategic strength program designed around your midlife body, your goals, your equipment, and your schedule.

No overthinking what to train. No guessing whether you're doing enough. No random workouts that leave you sweaty, but wondering if you're actually making progress.

Just purposeful, progressive strength training with a clear plan for what to do, how to do it, and when to level up. That builds in succession.

Less mental load. More intention. Better use of your time.

That's exactly what we do inside LIFTED.

Ready to stop figuring it all out yourself?

DM me LIFTED, and I'll help you find the level of coaching and support that fits your goals and your life. 💪❤️

When Mark and I first started dating, I used to get up early and iron his shirts before he had to leave for work.

I made him brownies on the weekends.

Made sure he was all set.

Very “look how delightful I am.”

Fast-forward more than two decades:

I don't iron.

Anything.

Ever.

I make breakfast.

He makes his lunch.

He usually handles his dinner from what I have batch-prepped.

We have roles. They change. We've figured out what works.

The relationship didn't fail because I stopped ironing his shirts.

It evolved.

Your health habits need permission to do the same thing.

Sustainable does NOT mean:

“Do everything you did in Week 1 perfectly for the rest of your life.”

Maybe five workouts become three intentional ones.

Maybe tracking teaches you enough that you don't need to track forever.

Maybe elaborate meal prep becomes having a few protein staples ready.

Maybe your routine changes because you just moved 1,200 miles.

👋😂

The question isn't:

How do I force myself to keep doing ALL of this forever?

It's:

What deserves to stay?

Keep what matters.

Adjust what doesn't.

Stay in the relationship.

That's how healthy habits become a LIFE instead of another program you eventually quit.

I went much deeper into this in this week's Substack.

“Wait...I Have to Keep Doing This?”

And yes, Mark survived the Great Ironing Withdrawal.

Next dynamic to evolve...working from home together. 😜

Link in my bio or comment IRON, and I will send you the article.
