Ashland, KY is making Kentucky racing history!

Sandy Ridge Racetrack hosted Kentucky’s first-ever dedicated Quarter Horse race meet, and our team at Alpha was excited to be a small part of it.

A big thanks to our partners at Boyd County EMS and Cannonsburg Fire Department, it’s always a pleasure working with their wonderful team!

On the 25th anniversary of September 11th, our team is deeply humbled to be recognized as part of Churchill Downs’ First Responders Day.

Alpha Event Medicine is an agency of first responders, men and women who choose to step forward when others need help, often into situations marked by uncertainty, urgency, and danger. On this solemn anniversary, we remember the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger on 9/11 and the countless others who sacrificed their lives in the service of saving others.

We honor every life lost, the families forever changed, and all those who continue to carry the physical and emotional effects of that day.

Their courage and sacrifice will forever inspire us, and remind us what it truly means to answer the call.

Closing out Summer of ’26 by celebrating 5 years of Alpha Event Medicine.

Event medicine asks a lot of the people who do it. It means early mornings, late nights, and weekends—often on top of a full-time job in EMS.

Our providers give a lot of their time to Alpha, and they take great care of the people and places we’re trusted to serve. We don’t take that for granted.

Getting the chance to celebrate them—and the families who support them—meant everything to us. The work is meaningful, but the people we get to do it alongside are what make it truly special.

Here’s to five years of Alpha Event Medicine, and to the people who have made all of it possible.
