Keep moving forward – There are going to be days when you eat too much or don’t work out. Let it go and move on! Do not let yourself dwell on it and keep sn*******ng out of control. Get back to your routine and keep moving forward. The scale is also going to fluctuate. In the days after a feast it is likely your weight will jump up on the scale. There is no need to panic immediately. Your weight will more than likely return to normal after a few days due to water fluctuations. Don’t let the scale sabotage your focus

Tip of the Day: There is no reason to feel negative towards yourself for having a day when you eat what without being mindful of macros. There are many occasions that are far more important than worrying about what you are eating. Enjoy it and get back to the normal routine as soon as possible.

Tip of the Day: There is no reason to stop eating at any magical time of day. Carbs or any other food can be eaten morning, noon, or night without fear of fat gain if caloric and macro intake are in check.

Tip of the day: There are no specific foods that will magically cause weight/fat loss or weight/muscle gain. To lose weight a caloric deficit is required. To gain weight a caloric surplus is required. The Macro nutrient make up of the diet will have an effect on what is lost or gained(fat vs. muscle).

Tip of the Day: With tailgating season in full swing there will be many nutrition plans left behind. There is nothing wrong and no need to feel guilty about going out and having a good time every once in awhile. Yes, progress can be brought to a halt in a day, but a single day will not completely sabotage everything. Try to eat/drink in moderation as best possible. One or two brats is okay but 6 or 7 is just unnecessary! If things do get carried away with eating/drinking let it go and move forward. Turning one bad day into several because of a "slip up" makes no sense whatsoever.

Tip of the Day: Just because something works does not mean it is the most optimal way of doing things. For instance fasted cardio may aid in fat loss, but performing HIIT cardio in a fed state is more efficient for losing fat.

You do not have to starve, be fearful of "bad" foods, do endless hours of steady state, or let meal timing dictate your life to reach goals. It is not what or when you eat that matters. What matters is how much and consistency with macros.

Below is a post from a client

"Dinner and dessert. Met with my coach today and was so pleased to hear I dropped 1.2% body fat in just the last week! Prep has been so easy this time around! It honestly doesn't even feel like I am. Seems like just yesterday it was 20 weeks out and now we're at 13. Before you judge IIFYM, you should know that it doesn't mean just eating like s**t. I still eat "clean" so to speak most of the time because its important to get your veggies and other nutrients and if I went out and ate a huge bowl of Coldstone, I wouldn't be left with much to eat for the rest of the day. BUT, being able to eat the things I crave allows me to have a life and not obsess over small things. I don't have cheat days or binges. If I eat candy or ice cream, it stays within my macros and I'm still able to reach my goals. I used to freak out if I didn't eat every two hours on the dot and now I just eat when I want. At the end of the day it's all about meeting your total daily macros. And I eat carbs at night, in fact I have to otherwise I won't sleep good. I'm just so thankful that my coach has taught me so much and that with IIFYM I'm able to live a normal life, enjoy foods I like and not have to eat the same old boring foods everyday and am still able to meet my goals! Thanks Bryant!"

Tip of the Day: There must be consistency to receive results. Working out or eating correctly a couple days per week will not get you the results you want. Being consistent with diet and training is vital to success. Establishing a routine that works for you will get you on the track towards becoming consistent.
