We’re 1 month away from the 50th Annual Turkey Trot! What better way to celebrate than a Throwback Thursday? 🦃🎉

This week, we’re featuring Gary Swain, his daughter Rebecca, and her son Andrew. Gary first ran the Lincolnwood Turkey Trot in 1986 and has participated 22 times! In 2018, the tradition became even more special when all three generations of the family ran together for the first time.

📸 Swipe for a look back through the years:
1. Gary featured in the 1993 Lincolnwood newspaper wearing bib 148.
2. From 2018 to 2024, three generations of Turkey Trotters!
3. Gary’s age division 2008 & 2012 first-place awards.
4. A postcard featuring race results, back when runners received their times by mail.
5. Gary’s original 1986 race results!

A huge thank you to Rebecca for sharing these memories! Have any Turkey Trot photos, awards, or race-day memories tucked away? Email them to [email protected] for a chance to be featured!
