As National Volunteer Month comes to a close, we want to highlight two incredible hospice volunteers from the Philadelphia area—Linda Brooks and Kathy Smith.

These friends and church members turned their compassion into action. Linda supports our Media, PA office and visits with patients, while Kathy volunteers with Willow Tree Hospice in Kennett Square—and logged over 325 one-on-one hours last year, the most in our region!

Their devotion reflects the true spirit of hospice care: presence, empathy and love. Thank you, Linda and Kathy, for the difference you make every single day!

Raise your hands if you want to volunteer!
Amedisys Hospice gives patients who are facing a life-limiting illness the freedom to live ALL the days of their lives by offering comfort, dignity, and quality of life. If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people’s lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. We are currently looking for volunteers for the following:
 Offering companionship/socialization
 Veteran to Veteran Companionship Visits
 Making weekly “tuck-in calls”
 Creating and delivering gifts
 Providing respite for caregivers
