A migraine is more than “just a headache.”

For many people, a migraine can mean canceled plans, missed work, turning off the lights, avoiding noise, and waiting hours, or sometimes days for symptoms to pass.

For appropriate patients with chronic migraine, Botox® may be one treatment option. It is FDA-approved for the preventive treatment of chronic migraine in adults and works by affecting nerve signals involved in pain.

At Natural State Pain and Wellness, treatment recommendations are based on an individual evaluation, health history and symptoms.

If chronic migraines are impacting everyday life, a conversation about available treatment options may be a good place to start.

Your spine supports you every day. This World Spine Day, we’re putting the focus on taking care of it.

Spine-related pain can have many different causes — from age-related changes like spondylosis and arthritis to herniated discs, spinal stenosis, nerve compression and other conditions.

At Natural State Pain and Wellness, we take an individualized approach to spine care, offering a range of non-surgical treatment options based on each patient’s symptoms, health history and needs.

From targeted injections and nerve-focused procedures to regenerative and other interventional treatment options, our goal is to identify the source of pain and create a plan designed for the individual.

This World Spine Day, make your spine health a priority.

What is a rhizotomy?

Rhizotomy, also known as radiofrequency ablation, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to target specific nerves involved in transmitting pain signals.

For some patients experiencing certain types of chronic arthritis or nerve-related pain, it may be one of the treatment options considered when conservative approaches haven’t provided adequate relief.

Every patient is different. At Natural State Pain and Wellness, treatment recommendations are based on your symptoms, health history and an individual evaluation.

Pain isn’t one-size-fits-all and treatment shouldn’t be either.

Burning or tingling. Extreme sensitivity to touch. Deep, aching joint pain. Sharp or shooting pain. Recurring migraines. Persistent neck or back pain. Pain that travels into an arm or leg. Muscle pain or painful “knots.”

Different types of pain can have very different causes, which is why understanding the source matters.

At Natural State Pain and Wellness, we treat a wide range of chronic and complex pain conditions, including neuropathy, CRPS, migraines, spine conditions, myofascial pain, TMJ dysfunction and more.

The first step is understanding what’s causing your pain and finding a treatment approach tailored to you.

Movement can play an important role in supporting strength, mobility, and overall well-being, and Fall can be a great time to get outside and move in a way that feels good for your body.

Whether it’s a walk, a hike, gentle stretching, or simply spending more time on your feet, small amounts of consistent movement can add up.
If pain is making it difficult to stay active, that’s where we come in.

We focus on personalized care that helps identify what may be limiting you and build a treatment plan around your individual needs and goals!

It may be time to speak with a pain specialist when discomfort continues for several weeks, keeps returning, limits movement, disrupts sleep, or makes everyday activities more difficult.

A pain specialist can help evaluate what may be contributing to your symptoms and discuss options beyond simply pushing through or relying on temporary relief. Let's find your relief today: (501) 466-7246
