One of the simplest—and most important—things you can do for your fresh tattoo is wash your hands before touching it! ✨

Throughout the day, our hands pick up dirt, bacteria, oils, and germs. Touching a fresh tattoo with unwashed hands can introduce bacteria to your healing skin and may lead to irritation, infection, or slower healing.

Before you clean, moisturize, or even take a quick peek at your new tattoo:

🤎 Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds
🤎 Dry with a clean towel or paper towel
🤎 Avoid unnecessary touching
🤎 Follow your artist’s specific aftercare instructions

Your tattoo is an investment—give it the clean, careful healing it deserves. 🫶🏼

🚨 Remove it early ONLY if:
• It’s leaking
• Your skin becomes excessively irritated
• Your tattoo artist tells you to

Otherwise, leave it alone and let it do its job! đź–¤
