I am not going to lie y'all, I cried after getting the opportunity to meet Nora and her family yesterday. Every day, our amazing crews are out there serving our communities. The services they provide are invaluable, yet often go unrecognized.

Stories like this are a strong reminder of why having these resources available in this community is important. It is also the reason I am so passionate about our membership program that helps us keep our bases in the communities that need them the most.

I am so grateful for and proud of our crew at Air Evac Lifeteam 179 - London, KY and our community partners at Ambulance Inc. Of Laurel County . Be sure to watch last night's story on Lex 18. I'll put the link below.

A month after a near-drowning left her on life support, Nora Trejo ran across an airfield to greet the responders who helped save her.

Our London crew was busy, busy yesterday. With low cloud cover, our crew's IFR capabilities kept them moving when many other aircraft couldn't respond.

In May of 2025, a devastating F4 Tornado tore through London, KY and surrounding communities. Tragically, lives were lost that night. The damage to property was devastating.

That night, Air Evac Lifeteam 179 - London, KY experienced the destruction of both our helicopter and our hangar. While our company quickly sent another helicopter (appropriately named Dorothy) to serve our communities, the process to build a new hangar has taken much longer.

Our crews have been patiently waiting and soon the wait will be over. The walls are up. The concrete is poured. Asphalt has been laid. And now, the final touches are being made.

It is only appropriate that we invite the communities we serve on a daily basis, to join us for the ribbon cutting of our new hangar. Come out to 275 Air Park Drive in London on Monday, September 28th at 11:00 am. See our hangar and meet some of our team.

***As a thank you for joining us as we celebrate, we will have special discounted membership rates for all who attend and get a new membership. Memberships help us to keep Dorothy and her crews saving lives in Laurel and surrounding counties.***
