At PVP, we are committed to providing high-quality care & health promotion services to children & families.

We have two convenient locations in Longmeadow, MA & Enfield, CT. Beginning in summer, the office will be closed on Sundays through mid-October. We have two convenient locations at 123 Dwight Road in Longmeadow, MA and 115 Elm Street in Enfield, CT.

The weather is not cooperating for our flu clinic in Enfield tomorrow!! If you were scheduled for a drive up slot you will be getting a message from us this morning. No need to call the office to reschedule. Everyone will have the same slot reserved for the make-up date, Saturday, October 10th.

It was a beautiful morning to get protected from the flu this morning!!!! We hear great feedback about our easy drive-through flu clinics year after year—we have one flu clinic left in each office over the next two weekends. Don’t miss out on this easy opportunity to get protected!!!! These are PVP’s final two flu clinics of the season!!!!

President Trump signed an executive order this week regarding childhood vaccinations. For decades, the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines have been administered as one, combination vaccination. There are no scientific data to indicate that administering the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines as three separate injections offers any benefit to patients. To the contrary, separate administration would add to patient pain and parent cost.

We will continue to follow the guidance of medical experts and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our vaccination schedule and our vaccination policy have not changed.

Scientific evidence presented this week in an easy to follow article on success of flu vaccine in decreasing death from flu.

What you need to know:

•Influenza vaccine effectiveness against death among U.S. kids and teens averaged 80% in recent years.
•Vaccine effectiveness against death was 77% among kids with underlying medical conditions and 87% among those without.
•The findings come against a backdrop of declining influenza vaccine uptake since 2021.

Vaccination provided ample protection for kids with and without underlying conditions
