“I feel like I’m high.”
I heard this recently from someone who was new to our tincture, and it reminded me how important education is especially when you’re trying cannabinoids for the first time.
When you’re used to carrying tension, stress, or constantly being “on,” suddenly feeling deeply relaxed can feel different. And sometimes, different gets interpreted as “Am I high?”
C*D and CBN themselves are not intoxicating in the way THC is. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to tell someone that what they felt wasn’t real. Everyone’s body, sensitivity, dose, medications, and experience with cannabinoids can be different.
And because Exotic Elephant uses full-spectrum C*D, our products can contain naturally occurring trace amounts of THC within applicable limits. That’s part of why we believe in starting low, paying attention to your body, and understanding what’s actually in the product you’re using.
There’s also a difference between feeling calm, heavy, sleepy, deeply relaxed and feeling intoxicated and if you’re brand new to C*D, learning that difference can take a minute.
This interaction reminded me that selling C*D isn’t just about handing someone a bottle. It’s about education.
Ask questions. Read your COA. Know your dose. Start low. And never feel embarrassed about telling us how something made you feel.
That conversation is exactly why we’re here. 💜🐘
