CMS Medicare has released the data for Medicare Part D(Drug) plans and Medicare Part C(Advantage Plans) for 2027 and specifically for Washington and San Juan County.

In preparation for open enrollment(October 15th to December 7th) Rick McCoy is putting together the options for the San Juan Islands. The trend that started a number of years ago continues, with less and less choices.

Part D and Part C plans enter an area and see if they can make a go of it. Because of our small size the number of plans for 2027 has again gone down. Remember when Premera left, it was the same scenerio.

The past several years for Part D there were plans with $0.00 monthly premium and that worked well for patients that had very little to no medications. The ranges for premiums range from $5.30 to $184.20 per month. Which one will be best for you will depend on your unique medication mix. What might be good for myself will not necessarily be good for others.

At the pharmacy if we ran a customized report for you last year, we will do it again this year with the help from Rick McCoy.
