💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

At Lorain County Free Clinic, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued.

This month, we’re honoring the lives lost to domestic violence, standing with survivors, and raising awareness about the importance of recognizing the signs of abuse.

This chair serves as a powerful reminder of those whose lives were taken too soon and the importance of speaking up, offering support, and helping break the cycle of violence.

Together, we can make a difference. 💜

In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day this past August, 77 purple flags were placed outside Lorain County Free Clinic — one for each life lost to drug overdose in Lorain County in 2025. 💜

Although the awareness day has passed, the message behind this display has not.

We remember the lives lost, the families and friends who carry their memory, and the importance of continuing the conversation around overdose awareness, prevention and compassionate care throughout the year.

77 lives. 77 stories. Never just a number.

Does the Free Clinic offer lab work? Yes! 🩺🧪

While lab work isn’t performed directly at the clinic, we work with our local hospitals to help coordinate these services for our patients. Our providers can order the labs you need and guide you through the process.

It’s one more way we help make healthcare easier to access for members of our community. 💙

40 Years of Caring for Lorain County 🎉

What was originally created as a temporary program in 1986 has become something much bigger. ❤️

For 40 years, the Lorain County Free Clinic has helped bridge the healthcare gap for people in our community. Volunteer doctors, nurses, caregivers and countless community supporters have helped provide medical access to thousands of people who otherwise may have gone without care.

40 years of compassion. 40 years of dignity. 40 years of caring for our neighbors.
And we couldn’t have done it without this incredible community!
