What if the thoughts in your head aren’t telling you the truth?
We tend to assume that because we think something, it must mean something.
But many of the thoughts we listen to—and then believe—aren’t coming from our deepest knowing at all.
They may be the voice of your Inner Punisher.
Your Inner Child.
Your Traumatic Identity.
Or simply an antiquated thought pattern that was formed years ago and has been repeating itself ever since.
And when you listen to those thoughts as though they’re the truth, you begin organizing yourself around them.
You hold back.
You silence yourself.
You second-guess what you know.
You anticipate someone else’s reaction.
You abandon what you actually want to say or do.
This is one of the ways we create our own repression.
The work isn’t necessarily to get rid of your thoughts.
It’s learning to notice that you’re having a thought instead of automatically believing the thought.
Because underneath all that mental noise is something very different:
Your intuition.
Your inner compass.
Your own knowing.
The question is—
Can you hear it beneath everything else you’ve been listening to?
