Join the fight! 🎀

🩷 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A mammogram is a special x-ray that checks the breast for changes. It can find breast cancer early, when treatment works best.

✅ Women ages 40 to 74 with average risk should get a mammogram every 2 years.
✅ Some people may need one more often. Ask your doctor what’s right for you.
✅ Some men may need one too, like if they have a lump or a family history of breast cancer.

🩺 Regular screening has helped lower breast cancer deaths across the U.S. Stay up to date.

📲 Call 888-804-3228 to book a screening.

🏥 Harbor–UCLA Medical Center just opened a brand-new six-story clinic building! It brings services like maternity, pediatrics, cardiology, and radiology together in one place, making it easier for patients to get the care they need.

🚑 Harbor–UCLA is the only Level I trauma center in southern LA County, serving more than 90,000 emergency room patients each year.

💙 Thank you to Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, LA County Public Works, and everyone who helped make it happen.
