We offer in-home support, parent education, and personalized routines in California and nationwide. At Baby Steps Concierge Nursing, we understand that coming home from the hospital with a newborn is both exciting and overwhelming. That’s why we provide licensed, experienced RNs with specialized training in postpartum and NICU care to support you and your baby right in the comfort of your home. Our nurses help create personalized newborn-care routines, offer parent education, and provide hands-on guidance so you can feel confident, rested, and supported every step of the way. From feeding and sleep routines to emotional recovery and family adjustment, we’re here to make your transition smoother and more empowering. You might be burping your baby the hard way — and if those stubborn burps just won’t come out, it’s not your fault. Sometimes, it’s all about technique.

Try the face-out burping method to help release trapped air more effectively. Gently support your baby’s head and neck using your thumb and index fingers, keeping them upright and secure. Then, give firm, steady pats on their back and repeat as needed until you get that satisfying burp.

This technique can be especially helpful for fussy babies or after longer feeds when gas tends to build up.
