Do you believe in s*xual soulmates?

Some of us believe that s*xual compatibility is either there or isn’t. Others believe it’s something we can build together over time.

And here is the interesting part: these beliefs can actually shape how we experience s*x and deal with s*xual differences in our relationships!

👉 Curious how? Send me a DM and I’ll send you my article on the topic!

And you? Which one are you? ⤵️

When s e x starts to feel like another thing on our to-do list, it’s worth asking ourselves why.

Is it stress? Exhaustion? Pressure to have s*x? Or something else entirely?

There are many reasons why s*x can start to feel like one more thing we *have* to do rather than something we *want* to do.

And understanding what’s behind that feeling is a good place to start.

“Flirting With Your Partner: How to Make It Yours”

There are a million ways to flirt with your partner. But some of the best ones are the ones that only make sense to the two of you.

So what does flirting look like when you’ve been together for years? And how do you make it yours?

That’s what we’re getting into for the last article in my series on flirting in long-term relationships.

Scheduling s*x: hot or not?

Some couples swear by it. Others find it kills the mood.

The truth is, it depends less on the calendar and more on how it feels.

Anticipation can build excitement.
But obligation can shut it down.

There is no universal formula. Only what works for you, your desire, and your relationship.

What makes two people s*xually compatible?

We often think of s*xual compatibility as s*xual chemistry. That belief that if we’re compatible, things just click.

But s*xual compatibility is about much more than that.

Research suggests that s*xual compatibility is shaped by several things: having aligned requirements for a s*xual relationship, agreeing on how to have s*x, being able to manage challenges, and wanting similar outcomes from s*x.

But researchers found something else: one of the foundations of s*xual compatibility is our ability to deal with s*xual differences.

Because being s*xually compatible doesn’t mean wanting the exact same things.

It’s about what we do when we don’t want the same things.

The “socks during s*x” myth… 👀

No study actually says that wearing socks increases your chances of or**sm.

What it does point to is something much simpler:

Feeling comfortable.

Warm.

Relaxed.

That’s what makes a difference.

Faking an or**sm can feel like the easiest option in the moment.

Maybe we don’t want to disappoint our partner. Maybe we don’t know how to say that something isn’t working. Or maybe we just want s*x to be over.

But when we fake, our partner walks away thinking: That worked.

And that makes it much more likely they’ll do exactly the same thing next time.

Because if they think it worked, why would they do anything differently?

How often should we be having s*x?

It’s one of the questions I get asked the most.

But there is no one answer. Because there is no “right” amount of s*x we should all be having.

What matters is what works for you and your partner(s).

So instead of asking, “Are we having enough s*x?”, maybe the better question is: Are we happy with the s*x we’re having?

We flirt to show someone we’re interested in them.

Then we get into a relationship... and somehow, we stop.

But being together doesn’t mean we stop wanting to feel attractive, desired, or wanted by our partner.

So why stop flirting?

And that’s not the only reason flirting still matters years into a relationship.

👉 I wrote about it in my latest article on Substack. Check it out! Link in bio.
