Planning your food for the week just means THINKING AHEAD

That’s it

No hours of chopping required

You don’t have to become a Top Chef to lose weight and keep it off

Whatever you like and/or have time for works.
Just decide ahead of time so you have it available when you get hungry.

This makes eating when you’re just hungry and stopping when you’re satisfied, not full, so much easier 🙂

And when it feels easy?
We do it.
Simple as that.

That’s how we lose weight and keep it off forever.

Waiting to eat until you’re starving feels like discipline, but it works against you.

When you’re over-hungry, your body floods you with hormones that push you to eat whatever is fastest, closest, and biggest.

That’s physiology, not personal.

If you start eating when your body first tells you it’s hungry, it’s easy to stop when you’re satisfied, not full.

Then you feel good going to your meal, while your in it and after, too.

win-win-win

The weight loss is just a bonus at that point 😉

Listen for instant relief—Birds chirping and fountain babbling 🐦⛲️

The relief comes from pausing the brain chatter.

When we focus on sounds in nature, our brain stops it’s litany, at least for a moment.

It’s like a reboot.

Then we can make better decisions.
Decisions more likely to come from clarity, not reaction.

When it comes to food, this is all we need: clear decisions, easily made.

We can do that when we follow our hunger—eat when hungry (not waiting until we’re ravenous)
Then we can stop when satisfied, not full.

It’s hard to hear our inner voice with so much brain noise.
Pausing can help.
The Hunger Scale is the tool that teaches you how.

That’s a sure sign you’re stuck in diet culture mentality.

And if you’re trying to lose weight, that way of thinking is the quickest way to face planting in a tub of rocky road (eventually).

If we make certain foods “good” or “bad”, when we eat them we judge ourselves as “good” or “bad”.

Not only does judgment feel terrible, it gets us nowhere we want to go.

Judgment has us feeling guilt, regret, shame, defeated.

Most of us are not great at feeling those feelings, so what do we do instead?

That’s right, inhale a bag of chips.

The only way to get out of the cycle of binge/restrict is to let go of judgment.

I KNOW . . .
It sounds so counterintuitive.

“If I don’t judge myself, I’ll eat everything in sight!”

I know it feels that way, but after more than 20 years doing this, I can tell you it’s not true.

When we let go of the good/bad food judgment, we need another way to decide what and how to eat.

That way is through your hunger.

Not cravings.
Not urges.

Hunger.

When we do that, no food is off limits and your decisions help create a kind relationship with you and food, you and your body.

Start with my Hunger Scale.
It’s the simple tool that gets you started at your very next meal.

Ever wonder why sticking to new healthy habits can feel impossible—even when your motivation is sky-high?

You’re not lazy or lacking willpower.

There’s a sneaky culprit at work: INVISIBLE RULES.

We all have them.
Rules we adopted as children, borrowed from mom, or absorbed from diet culture—rules that pop up sounding like gospel: “You can’t have carbs,” “Never eat past 7,” or “Everything has to be fresh, organic, and chopped by my own loving hand.”

These unquestioned commandments can grind our progress to a halt, all while hiding in plain sight.

In this week’s episode of the Weight Loss for Fertility podcast, I tell you how to:

🔦 Spot the telltale signs you’ve got an invisible rule running the show (hint: it’s not about willpower)

📏 Gently question rules you absorbed but never consciously chose

📝 Use simple prompts to uncover the real reason habits get stuck

🌱 Replace old “shoulds” with truer statements that actually fit your life

Those invisible rules you never signed up for can slow your progress more than any cupcake ever could.

Every rule we retire is one less roadblock on our path to lasting weight loss (Permission to buy the pre-chopped onions, granted!)

When we make our choices conscious ones, we get to eat (and live) on our own terms.

Turn hidden rules into decisions you love, so every week feels lighter—inside and out.

Eating sugar comes with Food Noise—just like drinking alcohol comes with a hangover.
When planning on eating sugar, I just want you to take this into account.

It doesn’t mean you can’t have any
It just means you should know what you’re getting yourself into 😉

(At the end of the video I give you one of my favorite sugar hacks)

We often feel out of control when it comes to eating sugar and I want you to know it’s biological, not a character flaw.

So enjoy your faves, just have a plan for dealing with the Food Noise that follows.

That’s one of the things I teach my clients
It makes losing weight so much easier
