In honor of , we’re excited to spotlight Laura Compton, an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) nurse at Long Beach Memorial Center. Laura recently came back from our Guatemala mission last month and has been a long-time champion helping us mend kids around the world. 🌎 🩺🧑‍⚕️🥼

From Tanzania to the U.S., Hollo’s journey reminds us what’s possible when compassion knows no borders. 💜

Through our Individual Surgical Care program, and with the support of Shriners Children’s and Mainsprings, Hollo is receiving the treatment she needs. 🥰

Volunteers from our 2024 mission even had the chance to visit her, bringing familiar faces and heartfelt encouragement. Grateful for the global community that makes mending like this possible. 🦋

At , isn’t just once a year — it’s every day. 💜 All children, regardless of where they live, their ethnic background, religious affiliation, or ability to pay, deserve access to quality surgical care to help save and mend their lives. We believe that an organization sometimes has to stretch its resources in order to go where others don’t and take care of children that others can’t. Together, we are Mending Kids 🦋

As March comes to a close, we’re deeply grateful to have completed our second lifesaving mission in the this month. 💙 This time, we traveled to Llocos, where 11 children received the heart surgeries they urgently needed for a chance at a healthier, longer life.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team from for making this possible. Because of you, 11 little hearts are now beating stronger — and still beating, thanks to your care. ❤️🏥
