"I'm so OCD" gets said about color-coded closets and tidy desks. But for people living with obsessive-compulsive disorder, it's not a quirk.

OCD involves intrusive thoughts that cause real distress, and compulsions people feel driven to repeat to make that distress go away. It can take hours out of a day and quietly shape someone's whole life.

The good news: OCD is treatable, and support helps.

This OCD Awareness Week, swipe through to learn what OCD actually looks like, then share it so the next "I'm so OCD" becomes a conversation.

Struggling with thoughts you can't shake? Talk to our team 24/7: (323) 307-7997 or visit https://nuviewtreatment.com/ to learn more.

Being heard is where healing starts. 💙

Too many people walk into treatment feeling like just another chart. At NuView, we start with listening.

In this video, Daniel Lathrop, our Director of Business Development & Admissions, shares how our team makes sure every patient feels heard:

🔹 Personalized treatment plans built around your goals
🔹 Individual therapy with a clinician who knows your story
🔹 Group sessions where you connect with people who understand
🔹 Ongoing support at every step, not just on day one

"When patients feel heard, healing can begin."

"Too sensitive." "Too dramatic." "Too much."

If you've been called any of these, or said them to yourself, here's another way to read it: you were carrying too much, and no one could see the weight.

Mental illness is a health condition that affects thinking, mood, and behavior, and more than 1 in 5 U.S. adults lives with one (SAMHSA). According to SAMHSA, many things contribute to it, including biological factors like genes or brain chemistry, life experiences such as trauma or abuse, and family history. None of that is about being weak or not trying hard enough.

What helps isn't toughing it out. It's setting some of the weight down with other people. Therapy, medication, and support have made recovery a reality for most people with mental illness (NAMI), and you don't need to have it all figured out first. "I've been carrying a lot" is a perfectly good way to begin.

👉 Talk to our team, 24/7: (323) 307-7997. If you're in a crisis, call or text 988.

Know someone who's been carrying too much? Send this to them today.💚

Feeling low for 2+ weeks isn't something to just push through. But we get it: a "screening" sounds scary.

Here's what it actually is. A screening is a short set of questions about how you've been feeling: your mood, your energy, your sleep, your interest in things. It doesn't label you. It tells you whether it's worth talking to a professional, and that conversation is where diagnosis, if any, happens.

National Institute of Mental Health says symptoms present most of the day, nearly every day, for at least two weeks are worth taking seriously, and that depression can be treated, even in its most severe forms.

You can also find an online screening through Mental Health America. If your results, or your gut, tell you something's off, we're here. Our admissions team is available 24/7 at (323) 307-7997.

Learning never stops when lives are on the line 📚

This Mental Illness Awareness Week, we're sharing moments from the West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders 2026 in Palm Springs, three days of education on addiction and co-occurring mental health care, alongside professionals from across the country.

Everything our team brings back goes straight into the care our clients receive at NuView.

At NuView Treatment Center, accessibility is an important part of how we think about care.

In this video, Daniel Lathrop, our Director of Business Development & Admissions, shares how NuView’s telehealth program helps make structured support more accessible to individuals across California.

With virtual group options available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, our goal is to give people greater flexibility to participate in care while continuing to manage work, family, school, and everyday responsibilities.

Our telehealth program allows individuals to connect from home, participate in a supportive community, and access services without the added barrier of commuting to a physical location.

We take pride in the work our team does to help bridge gaps in access to mental health care and create options that can better integrate into people’s day-to-day lives.

Mental illness affects 1 in 5 adults. Stigma shouldn't affect anyone.

It doesn't care about your job title, your résumé, or how strong you look from the outside. In 2024, 61.5 million U.S. adults lived with a mental illness (SAMHSA), and on average they waited 11 years to get treatment (NAMI).

Let's shorten that wait. Share this to show you're someone people can talk to. 💚

It's National Substance Use Prevention Month, and prevention doesn't always look like a big intervention. Often, it's a quiet moment of noticing:

Am I reaching for something to cope?
Has someone I love seemed different lately?
Is it time to start a conversation I've been avoiding?

Swipe through for simple ways to check in this month. ⏩

Happy International Recovery Day 💜

Recovery doesn't mean becoming someone completely new. Often, it's one small edit at a time.

"I can't" becomes "I can."
"Nowhere" becomes "now here."
"Hopeless" becomes "hope."

Today, people around the world are celebrating recovery from every addiction and through every pathway, and we're celebrating every person in our NuView community making those edits, one day at a time.

💬 Which edit speaks to you most today? Share it in the comments. 👇

If you or someone you love is ready to begin, our team is available 24/7 at (323) 307-7997.
