3 years ago today, I walked down the aisle and said “YES!” to marrying the most incredible, loving and supportive man I’ve ever known and I would do it over and over again.

It still feels surreal that now we’re going to be a party of 3 and I couldn’t imagine doing life with anyone else! We’ve traveled the world, moved to a new city, and now we get to build a family together. Cheers to many more adventures, honey! ❤️

After 20 years in this industry, one of my greatest passions is helping estheticians recognize the value of what they’ve worked so hard to become.

And pricing is a BIG part of that conversation.

When I created The Ageless Facial, I wanted to honor the artistry, intentional touch, knowledge, and skill behind an exceptional facial.

That’s why I require graduates to meet a minimum service price to be featured on The Hands-On Facial Training for Licensed Estheticians Clinic Locator. It protects the integrity of the protocol and helps clients understand the value of this specialized experience.

Pricing strategy and menu design are also key parts of my workshops and private mentorships. We talk about positioning your expertise, communicating your value, and building a business that supports the life you want.

Because your education, experience, practice, and dedication deserve to translate into a thriving, sustainable business.

Your golden clients WANT to see you grow. They want to know you’re continuing to learn, refine your skills, and invest in the experience you provide.

That evolution has value.

Of course, your pricing should reflect the quality of your work, your expenses, and the experience you consistently deliver. But don’t let fear, comparison, or the average price in your area determine the limits of what you’ve spent years building.

You deserve to feel proud of your prices, confident in your value, and excited about your future.

Your growth should create more opportunities, freedom and flexibility. That’s the standard I want to see our industry rise to. ✨🙏

The Cornell 7 case has been deeply disturbing to witness and all I keep thinking about is how this is clearly a sign that we need to collectively raise the bar on what’s acceptable in terms of behavior and consequences and REAL ACCOUNTABILITY.

I truly cannot fathom what Jane Doe had to endure for nearly 8 hours and I am praying that justice is served and that the institutions and systems in place that are protecting such heinous criminal acts are being destroyed and rebuilt so that women can finally start feeling safe in this world. ❤️‍🩹🙏

One of the most ethical things we can do as estheticians is know more.

Not just about ingredients, but about the brands we align with, how their products are developed, who conducts and funds their research, what was actually measured, and whether the claims we repeat are supported by the data.

Our clients trust our recommendations.

I think that comes with a responsibility to understand the difference between being educated by a brand and simply repeating its marketing.

So,… ask for the studies.

Get into the professional portal.

Search PubMed.

Learn the difference between in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo data.

When you see “clinically proven” or “dermatologist tested,” ask what was tested, how it was measured and who conducted it.

And remember: asking questions isn’t an attack on a brand.

Internal research can be excellent.
Brand-funded research can be legitimate.
Third-party research can have limitations.
The methodology matters more than the marketing language around it.

After 20 years as an esthetician, I’m still learning, and I hope I always am.

We don’t need to make the science sound stronger than it is to be great at what we do.

There is so much more integrity in being able to say: Here’s what we know. Here’s what the research actually shows. And here’s why I’m recommending it for your skin. ✨🙏

I’m constantly asked what skincare lines I carry, what I think about certain brands, and what actually makes a line worth investing in as an aesthetician.

As a fierce advocate for licensed aestheticians, I take that seriously.

After 20 years in this industry and almost 7 years owning my practice, I’ve created my own guidelines for what earns a permanent place on my shelves.

For my practice, a brand needs to score at least a 7/10.

I also personally test products for a minimum of 3 months before recommending them to my clients. A beautiful formula isn’t enough. I’m looking at results, education, professional support, margins, accessibility, brand integrity, and most importantly, how that company treats and protects the licensed professionals supporting them.

The 5 lines in this carousel are my main “bread and butter” skincare lines. I do carry other brands that allow me to cherry-pick individual products without minimums, which I didn’t include here.

These guidelines aren’t THE guidelines. They’re mine.

And I think every aesthetician should have their own.

Know what matters to you. Know what you’re willing to compromise on. Know what you’re not. Because when you recommend a product, you’re putting your reputation and your client’s trust behind it.

Now I want to hear from you 👇🏼

Rate a brand you carry using these guidelines, OR comment a brand you want me to rate next. 👀

Celebrated the most amazing man in one of my favorite places on planet earth 🌎👫

Feeding the ducks.
Breathing in that crisp Tahoe air.
Endless hours reading on the beach.
Hot chocolate with the mountains in the distance.
A PCH road trip we’ll be talking about for many years.
Watching the sun disappear behind the fluffy fantasy clouds.
Early mornings w/ the birds chirping and the lake perfectly still.
Finding hidden stretches of shoreline and stopping just because the view was too beautiful to drive past.

Cold mornings, warm drinks, pine trees towering overhead, crystal-clear water, granite boulders, long conversations, nowhere we needed to be and nothing we needed to rush toward.

There’s something about Tahoe that makes time feel slower.

The water, the mountains, the silence between the sounds.

It reminds you how little you actually need to feel completely full.

My favorite person turns one year older and these are just a few days I wish I could bottle up and keep forever. ❤️🌲🏔️
