Kindred Hospital North Florida in Green Cove Springs recently welcomed experienced healthcare leader Katie Gibbs, MSN, BSN, RN, as its new CEO. Katie, who started last month, brings more than a decade of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including in long-term acute care and inpatient rehabilitation, with a strong background in clinical operations, quality improvement, nurse management, and direct patient care.

"Kindred North Florida plays a vital role in the recovery journey for patients with complex medical conditions," she said. "I look forward to supporting our compassionate, highly skilled caregivers to further enhance quality, improve patient outcomes, and create an exceptional patient experience."

Specialty hospital and nursing leader Katie Gibbs, MSN, BSN, RN, was recently named Chief Executive Officer of Kindred Hospital North Florida, a 58-bed specialty hospital that provides long-term acute care and rehabilitation to medically complex patients. Read more here.

Congratulations to Kindred Hospital Westminster for earning the ScionHealth National Quality Strategy’s Overall Platinum Award – the company’s highest award for quality – based on performance in a range of quality measures in the categories of Safety, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Timeliness, Patient-Centeredness, and Equity. Specialty Hospitals President Linn Billingsley visited Westminster this month to celebrate the team and present them with a special crystal award. March is Brain Injury Awareness Month, and we salue all the survivors of brain injuries and thank the caregivers at our facilities for their role in helping brain injury patients achieve remarkable recoveries. Leaders from Kindred Hospital Indianapolis and Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North got their workouts in over the weekend when they hiked up 47(!) flights of stairs of the Salesforce Tower in support of the American Lung Association in Indiana's Fight for Air Climb. The 2026 Indy climb has raised more than $236,000 to help the ALA's work to advance lung health. Kindred Hospitals, part of ScionHealth and leaders in respiratory care for medically complex patients, are proud to be the National Corporate Team Partner of the ALA's Fight for Air Climbs around the country.
