Beginning yesterday November 1st, I will be participating in a fundraising challenge for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The challenge consists of completing 3,000 pushups in the month of November (100 a day for 30 consecutive days). I have pledged to complete 3,180 or 106 daily. St. Jude’s maintains a 94% survival rate for children being treated for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Therefore for every 3,000 children that receive treatment, 180 unfortunately do not survive. The additional 180 push-ups are in their honor.
St. Jude’s operates almost exclusively off donations, and treating families do not receive a bill for services rendered. You can sponsor me in this fundraising effort by pledging a donation for each day I complete the 106 push-ups. Donations can be as little as $1 per completed day, or alternatively you can pledge a donation only upon my completion of the 3,180 pledged total. In either event, donations will be collected at the end of the month. If you are interested becoming a sponsor, and helping raise funds for a really great cause, PLEASE INBOX Fit Flip & Fly.
