It is always bittersweet to be given the opportunity to do a portrait of a loved one for a client, and especially more so when they are so trusting with a portrait of a loved one that is no longer around with us. As an animal lover myself, it is an extreme honor to immortalize the image of someone so loved and cherished in our lives and I will always appreciate those that are willing to give me the grace that I feel is necessary to execute something like this in an accurate and respectful manner. Thank you all so very much for the trust needed throughout the process to achieve the outcome. I pulled this one out from a bit ago, basically one that was hidden in the archives of my gallery, one that I did at a convention a while back

This is intended to be a more subdued/gentle depiction of Hel, the ruler of the underworld realm. I wanted her to be portrayed in a way that contrasts the mind’s immediate intuition when you hear about her, her name, her story, etc. This way, it feels almost as if there is obligation that she is aware of, and maybe an acceptance of fate, especially when you consider the soft tone she has in contrast to the menacing home that she resides over.

I didn’t want to make it too explicit of a color piece in order to keep it as a black and grey tattoo overall, however, I did want some extent of an indication of her historical portrayal, so I decided to lean a little more into the cooler tones to rest alongside of the greys. With this, it feels as if it maintains the subtly while feeling eerie in a way that is carried through when you consider the dichotomy.

I am booking for upcoming dates and would love to do more pieces like this, or just ones that are more conceptual, but I am open to many more things, DM to book

“Well, Clarice—have the lambs stopped screaming?”

I had a ton of fun bringing this take on the Silence of the Lambs film to life, we took the original shot with the dog staring downward and replaced it with her dog to serve as a double homage. “Life, uh……. finds a way”

I had a really fun time working on this piece, I always thoroughly enjoying doing larger-scaled, textured realistic pieces, especially when it is within the realm of something as rad as dinosaurs. Sulyvahn’s Beast from Dark Souls 3 for you big ol’ nerds out there

I had a ton of fun creating this piece and playing around the depth of field between the “hand”, the main body, and the tail in the distance. I would love to create more pieces similar to this that play into a darker fantasy kind of vibe, especially when it comes to creatures so, as always, message me if this possibly pertains to you at all and we can jam out some more monsters < 3

I believe this piece is healed but this is the final part to the familial sleeve that I was working on for my client Nicholas Inclan Thank you very much for your trust with this project and I hope that you and your family are doing well.
