Did you know each breast can produce a different amount of milk? 💗

For many parents, one side naturally produces more than the other. After breast surgery or cancer treatment, those differences may be even more noticeable.

What matters most is how your baby is feeding, transferring milk and growing. If you have questions about supply or feeding after treatment, the Parkview Therapy Services lactation team is here to help you better understand your options and build a plan that works for you and your baby.

Myofunctional therapy might sound like a mouthful, but the goal is pretty simple. 💚

Through targeted exercises, myofunctional therapy helps the muscles of the mouth and face work together more effectively. It can support things like tongue posture, lip closure, breathing patterns, chewing, swallowing and oral habits.

It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about building healthier patterns over time.

Wondering if myofunctional therapy could support your child? Our Parkview Therapy Services team is here to help.

Breast cancer treatment can affect milk supply in different ways, and every feeding journey can look a little different. 💗

Factors like the type of surgery, incision location, radiation treatment, and whether one or both breasts were treated may influence milk production. For some parents, one breast may produce more than the other, and that can still be part of a successful feeding plan.

If you have questions about breastfeeding or milk supply after breast surgery or treatment, our Parkview Therapy Services lactation team is here to help you explore your options and create a plan that supports you and your baby.

Things your lactation consultant will never judge you for? Pretty much anything that comes with feeding a baby. 🤍

Changing your feeding plan. Not knowing what a “good latch” is supposed to feel like. Feeling overwhelmed. Showing up with a whole list of questions. And definitely asking for help.

Feeding journeys are personal, and support should meet you where you are.

If feeding feels harder than you expected or you simply have questions, our Parkview Therapy Services lactation team is here for you. Reach out to schedule a visit.

Baby keeps popping off during feeds? It can be frustrating, but that one behavior doesn’t always point to one specific cause. 💚

Instead of trying to self-diagnose, pay attention to what else you’re noticing. Clicking or coughing, milk leaking from the mouth, frequently losing the seal, tiring during feeds or feeds that consistently feel difficult can all be helpful clues to share with your care team.

If feeding just doesn’t feel like it’s working well for you or baby, Parkview Therapy Services is here to help you figure out what may be going on and what support could make feeding easier.
