For 15 years, Maretta Stroud has been a familiar face at Crenshaw Family Care, bringing compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for helping others to the clinic every day. 💙

One of Maretta’s favorite parts of her job is getting to meet different people while continually learning about different illnesses and areas of healthcare. But for her, it all comes back to one thing: helping people.

Her passion for healthcare was greatly influenced by her Health Occupations teacher, Mrs. Pat Davis, who encouraged a path that perfectly matched Maretta’s natural compassion for others.

And after 15 years, it’s the people beside her who make Crenshaw Family Care feel like home.

“I love my coworkers. We work great together as a team — we are more like a family.”

🏡 Dream vacation: Taking her entire family to the beach and having everyone stay together in one HUGE beach house.

🐶 Pets? A puppy!

💕 A special chapter in her life: Maretta and her husband recently received custody of a two-year-old whom they are preparing to adopt — adding another little one to the family she loves so dearly.

🙏 Words she lives by:
“Treat people the way you want to be treated. Trust God.”

And Maretta wanted to make sure two people received some recognition of their own:

💜A HUGE Thank You to Haynes Ambulance!

As we prepare for Light the Night for Hope this Tuesday, September 22, Crenshaw Community Hospital would like to recognize one of our generous sponsors, Haynes Ambulance!

Haynes Ambulance has stepped up in a BIG way by sponsoring the food for our event, helping us provide a meal for the families and community members joining us for this special evening.

As we prepare for Light the Night for Hope this Tuesday, September 22, Crenshaw Community Hospital would like to recognize Luverne United Methodist Church for welcoming us into their Dei Center for this special evening!

Events like this take a community coming together, and we are so thankful for the church’s hospitality and willingness to help us create a place where families can gather, remember their loved ones, and find hope.

Our hope is that everyone who walks through those doors leaves knowing they are loved, supported, and never alone.

Crenshaw Family Care is proud to share Crenshaw Community Hospital’s Back to School Supply Drive benefiting Crenshaw County Schools! 🚌📚

Donations will be accepted in the front lobby at CCH Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. now through August 6.

Whether it’s backpacks, notebooks, crayons, tissues, headphones, or anything else you think students and teachers could use, every donation makes a difference.

If you feel led to give, we encourage you to stop by and help fill the bus for local students as they prepare for the new school year. 💙💛🍎✏️

Our school bus has officially rolled into Crenshaw Community Hospital, and we are collecting school supplies for Crenshaw County students now through August 6th!

Donations may be dropped off in the front lobby Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Some of the most needed items include:

• Backpacks and lunch boxes
• Notebooks, composition books, binders, and folders
• Loose leaf paper, graph paper, and index cards
• #2 pencils, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, and highlighters
• Dry erase markers and erasers
• Glue sticks, tape, scissors, and rulers
• Pencil boxes and pencil pouches
• Calculators and sheet protectors
• Headphones and earbuds
• Water bottles and supply boxes
• Tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, Clorox wipes, and Lysol wipes
• Construction paper, Play-Doh, and zipper bags

Have extra supplies at home? Use your judgment! If you think a student or teacher could use it during the school year, we would love to add it to the bus.

Every donation will go directly to Crenshaw County Schools to help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.
