Today is National Coming Out Day.

For some people, coming out is joyful. For others, it can feel complicated, private, unsafe, emotional, or ongoing. There is no one right timeline, and no one owes anyone their story before they are ready.

At Inclusive Health, we believe care should be affirming, compassionate, and respectful of the whole person. You deserve healthcare spaces where your identity is honored, your questions are welcome, and your safety matters.

Whether you are out, not out, questioning, supporting someone you love, or simply taking things one step at a time, you are worthy of care, respect, and belonging.

What is one word you associate with feeling safe to be yourself?

Share in the comments if you feel comfortable.

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, and no one deserves to face it alone.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind people that support is available.

Abuse is not always physical. It can also look like control, isolation, threats, intimidation, financial control, emotional harm, or making someone feel unsafe in their own life.

If something does not feel right, your feelings matter. You deserve safety, support, and care without judgment.

At Inclusive Health, we believe everyone deserves compassionate, affirming, whole-person care. That includes creating space for people to be heard, believed, and connected with support when they need it.

You are not alone. Help is available.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. In the U.S., you can also contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or visit thehotline.org.

October is Health Literacy Month, and this is your reminder that healthcare should not feel impossible to understand.
You deserve clear answers, respectful communication, and care that helps you understand your options without shame or judgment.
If a term is confusing, you are allowed to ask.
If instructions are unclear, you are allowed to ask again.
If you need more time, support, or explanation, that matters too.
At Inclusive Health, we believe accessible care includes communication that feels human, clear, and supportive.
What is one healthcare term or topic you wish was explained more clearly?
Drop it in the comments, and we may use it for a future post.

Question of the day:

What helps you feel more comfortable asking for care?

For some people, it is knowing what to expect. For others, it is feeling listened to, having clear information, being treated without judgment, or knowing their questions are welcome.

At Inclusive Health, we believe care should feel human, accessible, affirming, and supportive from the very first step.

Your voice matters here. Share one thing that helps you feel more comfortable asking for care.

Let’s leave this care myth behind:

“You have to wait until it gets worse to ask for help.”

You do not have to wait until you are overwhelmed, in crisis, or completely sure what is going on before reaching out.

Questions are a valid reason to seek care.
Early concerns are a valid reason to seek care.
Wanting support is a valid reason to seek care.

At Inclusive Health, we believe care should be accessible, compassionate, and supportive before things feel unmanageable.

What is another healthcare myth we should leave behind?

Let’s hear from the community.

Healthcare would feel better if __________.

Maybe your answer is “providers listened more.”
Maybe it is “appointments were easier to schedule.”
Maybe it is “questions felt welcome.”
Maybe it is “care felt less rushed.”

There is no wrong answer. Your experience matters, and conversations like this help remind us what people need from care.

Finish the sentence in the comments:

Healthcare would feel better if __________.

One check-in can matter more than you know.

Su***de prevention and awareness are about compassion, connection, and making sure people know they are not alone.

Sometimes support starts with a simple message. Sometimes it starts with asking, “How are you really doing?” Sometimes it starts with reminding someone that their life matters and help is available.

At Inclusive Health, we believe care should be human, affirming, accessible, and free from judgment. Mental health is health, and everyone deserves support that meets them with dignity and compassion.

If you or someone you know needs immediate support in the U.S., call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

You are not alone. You matter. Help is available.
