SHARING for All Families:

Autism Care Today (ACT) is currently accepting grant applications for families impacted by autism. Families can apply for up to $5,000 in financial assistance.

The application opened September 15 and closes October 15, 2026, so I wanted to share it while there's still plenty of time to apply.

What can the grant help pay for?

Autism Care Today provides funding for a variety of autism-related supports and services. Depending on your family's needs, funding may be used toward things like:

Speech, occupational, and other therapies
AAC devices, communication apps, and other assistive technology
Sensory equipment
Safety equipment, including GPS trackers and protective fencing
Social skills programs
Special-needs summer programs
Medical expenses and other eligible autism-related supports

Grants are generally paid directly to the approved provider, assessor, or vendor rather than given to families as cash.

Who can apply?

The program is available to families throughout the United States who are seeking support for an individual with an autism diagnosis.

There is no set household income cutoff. However, Autism Care Today says families with household incomes below $100,000 are reviewed first. They also give priority consideration to families with multiple children diagnosed with autism.

Typical awards range from $100 to $5,000.

Before you apply

You'll want to have a few things ready, including:

Proof of an autism diagnosis and recommended treatment/support
Documentation showing the cost of the service, program, or item you're requesting
Proof of household income, such as a tax return or other income documentation

ACT currently allows families to request one treatment, service, or item per application, so be sure to think about which need you'd like the grant to help cover.

Applications are open now through October 15, 2026.

APPLY TO THE ACT GRANT

Even if you're not sure whether your family will qualify, it may be worth taking a look at the application and FAQs. And if this resource isn't relevant to your family right now, feel free to forward this email to another parent who may benefit from it.

I hope sharing resources like this makes this little corner of the internet helpful for your family beyond just speech and language tips. 💛
