🚨 Burning When You P*e? It Could Be a UTI! 🚨
🚽 Feeling like you have to go ALL the time, but barely anything comes out? You may have a urinary tract infection (UTI)!
🦠 UTIs occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract. They're especially common in women, but men and children can develop them too!
🔎 Common Symptoms of a UTI:
🔥 Burning or pain during urination
🚽 Frequent or urgent need to urinate
💧 Cloudy, bloody, or strong-smelling urine
😣 Pressure or discomfort in the lower abdomen
⚠️ Feeling like your bladder isn't completely empty
💡 Did You Know?
- UTIs are more common in women because their urethra is shorter
- Cranberry juice may help prevent some recurrent UTIs, but it won't cure an active infection.
- Not every UTI requires the same antibiotic. Proper evaluation helps determine the right treatment.
- Untreated infections can sometimes spread to the kidneys.
🚨 Fever, chills, back or flank pain, or vomiting? These may be signs of a kidney infection and require prompt medical attention.
