Dakota State University is proud to support The 437 Project as its runners make their way across South Dakota this week, raising awareness and support for su***de prevention and mental health. 💙💛
We’re especially proud to support Lake County Sheriff Sarina Talich, a runner in this year’s The 437 Project. DSU is sponsoring Sarina’s jersey for her 437-mile journey across South Dakota, helping support her as she carries this important message across the state.
The 437 Project makes its stop in Madison on Saturday, September 19, and we invite the DSU community to come out and be part of the evening.
📍 United Methodist Church Parking Lot
⏰ Activities begin at 6 p.m. | Program at 7 p.m.
Come early to help welcome the runners with sidewalk chalk and inspirational messages. The first 100 DSU students will receive a free T-shirt, and free Dairy Queen Dilly Bars will also be available, along with giveaways, activities, and mental health resources.
The free program will feature Sarina Talich and special guest Nathan Harmon, a speaker, advocate, and survivor, with an opportunity to meet the runners, hear their stories, and learn more about The 437 Project’s mission.
Special thanks to the DSU Counseling Center for helping organize our campus involvement and keeping conversations about mental health and well-being visible across our community.
Come for the fun. Stay for the purpose. 💛
