As I look back, I honestly never imagined that one year ago I would be standing where I am today.

My first Shaman Altar was raised in ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“, and now here I am in ๐Ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, continuing this journey and offering a healing ritual for another shaman sister. ๐Ÿค

This past year has required a lot of I didnโ€™t travel out of the country like I had planned. I didnโ€™t get to travel with friends and family or do many of the things my heart wanted to do.

As a ๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž ๐๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐Ÿ“, I naturally crave freedom, adventure, travel, new experiences, and connecting with people. Iโ€™d much rather spend money on experiences and memories than material things. I love being social, meeting new people, and simply being out in the world.

Yet somehow, this past year led me in the opposite direction. I became more of a ๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฉโ€”turning inward, studying, learning, practicing, and dedicating my time and energy to understanding the shamanic path.

And looking back, I realize those sacrifices were part of my journey. Sometimes we have to step away from the life we know to discover the life we are being called toward.

I donโ€™t know exactly what the next year will bring, but Iโ€™m looking forward to continuing to learn, grow, and prepare for my ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐€๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ซ.

I canโ€™t believe it has already been one year since I began my shaman journey. ๐Ÿค

On ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“, my Xibfwb Yaisyua Vwj came to raise my very first Shaman Altar.

Although I had to take a three-month break shortly afterward, I still find myself looking back and realizing just how much has unfolded in such a short time.

During that first altar rising, I wrote a long, deeply personal letter to my spirit guides. A letter filled with tears, gratitude, questions, and the quiet feeling of my soul remembering itself.

Looking back, I can see how much of my journey had already been unfoldingโ€”through childhood experiences, moments of uncertainty, and even a near-death experience where I encountered the White Phoenix. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

I now understand those experiences differently. I believe I was being guided, even during the moments when I felt lost, distracted, or disconnected from my path.

Today, I honor my

My grandparents on both sides of my familyโ€”Vang and Yangโ€”were traditional Hmong shamans. I carry their teachings with deep respect while also allowing my own spiritual path to evolve.

To me, honoring tradition and embracing growth can exist together. Different generations and approaches do not make one better or lesser than another.

๐–๐ž ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐Ž๐๐„.

This journey has never been about being perfect. It has been about showing up with an open heart, honoring my ancestors, listening, learning, healing, and trusting.

โœจ Trust the process.
โœจ Trust your guides.
โœจ Trust yourself.

Iโ€™m deeply grateful to my Shaman Master for recognizing and guiding me toward my spiritual gifts, and to my shaman sisters and brother for walking beside me.

Iโ€™m still learning.
Still growing.
Still shedding what no longer serves me.

And Iโ€™m learning that the ๐’‹๐’๐’–๐’“๐’๐’†๐’š ๐’Š๐’•๐’”๐’†๐’๐’‡ ๐’Š๐’” ๐’‘๐’‚๐’“๐’• ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’‚๐’˜๐’‚๐’Œ๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ.

As I look toward the coming year and preparing to raise my ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐€๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ซ, I move forward with humility, faith, love, and devotion.

I return. I remember. I am ready.

โœจ ๐ˆ ๐š๐ฆ ๐›๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง. โœจ

And this path isnโ€™t always easy. Our patience will be tested. Our hearts will be tested. Our dedication and faith will be testedโ€”again and again.

As I continue my shamanic journey, I am deeply grateful to my Shaman Master Xibfwb Yaisyua Vwj (Soulโ€™s Alkhemy) for recognizing and guiding me toward my spiritual gifts, and to my shaman sisters and brother for walking beside me through this journey.
