Custom welding helmet I made βΊοΈ
In the first couple weeks of class, my welding helmet was stolen, so when my teacher decided to gift me this one after already getting one from a gracious friend, I decided to take the time to make this one more recognizable π₯°
At the time of being stolen from, I was obviously distraught- I have been fighting tooth and nail to get a sense of normalcy and stability since coming here and setting up a life outside the vanβ¦ and that was an emotional gut punch. But as always, art has such a beautiful way of transmuting things. Whether itβs tattoos, or painting, or doodling, writing, cooking β¦itβs all about alchemizing pain and experience into something beautiful. I really want to paint more things that are wearable and usable like this :)
Paint marker, acrylic and a nice few coats of 2k clear coat cured for a week before use and sheβs made it safely through some welding classes without a scratchπ€
Anyway, Iβve been a bit disappeared on here but Iβve been building a lot here in the real world . Been trying to keep up with a full time welding school and work schedule, while trying to take care of myself and be the sole provider to her the emotional and material resources of a village, I know a lot of us can relate π€ Sometimes growth is very slow and rough but nothing worth anything is fast or easy π€π

Been doing lots of walkins at the new spot, would still love for some cool tattoos to come fill my days between welding stuff btw π₯°π€β¨β¨π¨
