𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗴𝗴𝘀 (𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝟮-𝟯)

1 tbsp olive oil, ½ onion, 1 red bell pepper (diced)
2 garlic cloves, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp smoked paprika
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes with no added sugar
2 cups baby spinach
4-6 eggs, parsley, optional feta

1. Sauté the onion and pepper in oil for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and spices for 1 minute.

2. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 8-10 minutes. Stir in the spinach.

3. Make small wells, crack in the eggs, cover, and cook 5-7 minutes until the whites set.

4. Top with parsley and feta.

Why it works: Eggs are one of the best food sources of choline, which supports brain and liver health, plus lutein and complete protein. For most people, dietary cholesterol affects blood levels less than once believed because the liver adjusts how much it makes. Paired with tomatoes, spinach, and olive oil, this is a low-sugar, anti-inflammatory breakfast. (If you have familial hypercholesterolemia or have been given specific egg guidance, check with your provider.)

YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM IS PART OF THE CONVERSATION.

Your brain, spine and autonomic nervous system work together to help regulate your body's response to stress, movement and recovery.

Your nervous system is constantly communicating throughout your body.

It helps coordinate movement, heart rate, breathing, stress responses, recovery and countless other functions.

And this is where chiropractic gets particularly interesting.

Some research suggests that spinal manipulation may temporarily influence measures of autonomic nervous system activity, including measures such as heart-rate variability that are associated with parasympathetic/vagal activity.

But the research is still developing, and the evidence isn't strong enough to say that chiropractic “increases vagal tone” in a predictable clinical way.

That's an important distinction.

We're not claiming that an adjustment treats cholesterol.

Instead, we're interested in the bigger picture:

Nervous System → Movement → Activity → Overall Health

When pain or restricted movement makes it harder to stay active, addressing those barriers may be one part of supporting a healthier lifestyle.

Instead of asking, “Can chiropractic lower cholesterol?”

A better question may be:

“How can we help the whole person function better?”

Stress doesn't stay in your head. It shows up in your bloodwork.

Chronic stress → elevated cortisol → higher LDL & triglycerides, lower HDL.Chronic stress → poor sleep → lipids get worse again.

It's a loop. And most people are trying to break it with willpower alone.

Neurofeedback trains your nervous system out of the chronic "on" state that's driving all of it. Not a mood boost — a physiological reset.

Your brain and your cholesterol panel are more connected than you think. 📊🧠

The number is a clue, not the whole case

Cholesterol often shows up in the repair process when your arteries are irritated.
If we only lower the number, we can miss what's causing the irritation.

Inflammation is the bigger conversation, and sugar is a major driver. Higher added sugar intake is linked to lower HDL and higher triglycerides.

Ask for more than total cholesterol:
✅ Triglyceride-to-HDL ratio
✅ ApoB
✅ hs-CRP (inflammation)
✅ Fasting insulin

Medication has its place, and this isn't about replacing your doctor. It's about seeing the full picture so you can treat the cause and not just the number.

Not all coffee is created equal — and the wrong cup might be doing more harm than good.

Dr. Matt breaks down what to actually look for on the label, from mold toxins to bean sources, so your daily brew works with your body instead of against it. Small swaps can make a big difference in how you feel and your overall health.

• 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks (6-8 oz each)
• 1 large sweet potato, cubed
• 2 tbsp avocado oil, salt, pepper

• 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶: 1 cup parsley, 3 garlic cloves, ⅓ cup olive oil, 2 tbsp red w**e vinegar, pinch of red pepper flakes, salt

1. Toss the sweet potato in 1 tbsp avocado oil and roast at 425°F for 25 minutes.

2. Pat the steaks dry and season. Sear in a very hot skillet with the remaining oil, 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.

3. Rest the steaks 5 minutes while you chop or blend the chimichurri.

4.Slice the steak and spoon the sauce over the top.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: Steak delivers high-quality protein, iron, zinc, and B12, the nutrients your body uses to build hormones and cell membranes. The olive oil and fresh herbs in the chimichurri add monounsaturated fat and antioxidants, and the sweet potato brings fiber and slow-burning carbs instead of a sugar spike. Keeping blood sugar steady supports healthy triglycerides and HDL, which is the balance we care about.

WHEN MOVEMENT HURTS, MOVEMENT CHANGES.

Pain can keep you from doing the things that support your health.

When something hurts, we naturally start doing less.

We sit more.

We avoid certain activities.

We stop exercising.

We move differently to protect the painful area.

Over time, that can create a cycle:

Pain → Less Movement → Less Activity → Reduced Function

And that matters because regular physical activity is an important part of cardiovascular and metabolic health.

One of the goals of chiropractic care is to help restore appropriate joint motion and improve how your body moves.

Not because an adjustment is going to “lower your cholesterol.”

But because removing barriers to movement can make it easier to stay active.

Your body was designed to move.

Better movement creates more possibilities.

Chronic stress isn't just a feeling — it's rewriting your bloodwork.

Here's the chain most people never connect: when your nervous system stays stuck in fight-or-flight, cortisol stays elevated. Elevated cortisol doesn't just make you feel wired and tired — it directly raises LDL and triglycerides while lowering your protective HDL. On top of that, chronic stress wrecks your sleep, and poor sleep independently makes your lipid profile worse.

So the cholesterol conversation isn't just about diet and exercise. It's also a nervous system conversation.

This is where neurofeedback comes in. It's not relaxation or wishful thinking — it's targeted training that helps your brain shift out of chronic activation and back into balance. Calm down the nervous system, and you're pulling on a real, physiological lever tied to your cardiovascular health.

Training your brain out of fight-or-flight is a legitimate lever on cholesterol balance. 🧠❤️

"Forgetting why you walked into a room" might feel like a harmless brain fart — but it's not supposed to be your normal.

Short-term memory lapses are one of the most common symptoms patients brush off, when they're actually a sign your brain patterns could use some support. The good news? It's trainable.
