Join us on Friday, November 6th for this special fundraising event in support of the IFS program at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion: is IFS Evidence Based? Evaluating the Evidence and State of the Science of Internal Family Systems in 2026

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy has grown significantly in its use and visibility in recent years. As more therapists, clients, and organizations become interested in IFS, important questions are being asked about the research behind the model: What does the research actually tell us? How strong is the evidence for IFS? What can we confidently say about its effectiveness, and what questions still need to be studied?

This program will offer a clear and balanced review of the current state of IFS research as of 2026. Participants will look at what has been studied so far, what we can learn from that research, and where there are still limitations or gaps in the evidence. The program involves a lecture and an interactive live question and answer session that will also explore the differences and similarities between what clinicians observe in their IFS practice and what has been demonstrated through research.

Applications are currently open for our 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course with Susie Fairchild and Lisa Kim. Susie Driscoll Fairchild lisa kim

The course runs every Wednesday from 12-2pm ET on Zoom from October 21st through December 16th.

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional well-being. Research shows self-compassionate people hold themselves accountable for mistakes yet they are less afraid of failure and are more likely to try again after failing. MSC is an empirically-supported 8-week program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion, co-developed by Dr. Chris Germer, a CMC senior advisor and co-founder of our Center.

Originally developed by Dr. Chris Germer and Dr. Kristin Neff at the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, MSC follow a dedicated curriculum you can find, along with other tools and resources, on their website.

What does love look like as an act of healing - and even liberation?
We are so excited to close out our Grand Rounds season by celebrating and learning from some of our very own! Richa Gawande, PhD, Dominique Malebranche, PhD, and Rahil Rojiani, MD are all cherished members of the CMC community, and we couldn't be more proud to welcome them as our final presenters of the year.

Join us on Monday, June 1st from 1pm - 2pm ET for "Love as a Decolonial Praxis of Reconnection," where the VOICES Collective will explore love through three powerful reconnections — to body, community, and Spirit — as an antidote to inner and outer colonization, drawing on contemplative practice, dialogue, and community-based participatory research.

Free and open to all. Live on Zoom — and all registrants receive a link to the recording.
