The best summer yet 💛 a little June recap now that I’ve fully accepted that summer is over!
- a baseball trip to Nebraska + the college World Series! ⚾️
- Elle’s jewelry business that took over the dining room table!
- the turner brothers trip to Door County! 🎣
- lots of time with coco kimmie + coachie
- Omaha zoo, Omaha water park!

Months ago my mom took allllll the girl cousins to see our high school’s musical, Grease. 🖤 We almost left poppy home because she was just 3, but wow I’m so glad we didn’t!! She became OBSESSED with Grease. Obsessed!! From the movie, to the soundtrack, to Sandy’s many outfits - our girls know and love it all! (We had a ten hour roadtrip this summer where poppy watched the movie on repeat six times straight 😂).

Sooooo, all Poppy & Coco wanted for their birthday was to have their real life Sandy, audrey rose, come to the house and sing! Their big brother even dyed his hair black like Danny for the night 🤣. What a special night!!

Thank you audrey rose for making it one they’ll remember forever. And for the many video messages we’ve requested the last six months 🙈 we are your biggest fans and can’t wait to watch you take on the music industry in these years to come!!! Her debut solo show is at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater this November 15th, tickets online! 🎤

Back to School 🍎 😭 first day of school, and last night of summer.
Last summer was my first “stay at home mom” summer, but my mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma in June. So, THIS summer I got to enjoy a healthy stay at home mom summer and golly… it was truly bliss.

First world problems, but I’ve been struggling with the reality of it being over. I miss my kids, miss the slowness, miss having a Diet Coke at the pool next to my mom and nowhere else to be. But we are so grateful for a wonderful school who pour the love of Jesus into our whole family every single day.

Mama’s still got it! 💪🏻 2026 - our annual little mother daughter getaway for the last fifteen years 🤍 and got to celebrate my edible niece turning 1. 🩷

if you’re in Nash/Franklin you must pop in PERENN!! The marzipan cappuccino, lemon kale salad and lemon pancakes take you to another world. Mom and I came home and spent forever recreating the coffee syrup & salad dressing is that’s good 🤤.

Our fave downtown dinner spot is Sixty Vines! Easy to get in, elevated casual vibes, overlooks Ryman Auditorium and can walk right to the stadium. (Split the filet + apps 🤌🏻)
