What if the filler you thought was dissolved was actually still there?
Katie Boand, MS PA-C recently saw a patient who had previously received tear trough filler and undergone dissolving treatments, but continued to experience persistent under-eye swelling.
Using ultrasound, Katie was able to identify small pockets of residual hyaluronic acid filler, along with increased vascularity in the surrounding tissue that warranted further assessment.
This is exactly why ultrasound has become such an important part of how we practice at N2. It allows us to see beneath the surface, assess anatomy and existing filler, and develop a more precise treatment plan rather than relying on visual assessment alone.
Because what we see on the surface doesn’t always tell the whole story.
