Once we are able to bear weight and walk without pain, we can start adding in weight bearing exercises. These exercises are also good to do if we feel like we have weak ankles or are prone to rolling our ankles. Remember, these exercises should be performed Pain-free. If you're increasing the weight you lift, you might notice you're grip strength isn't keeping up. Bell-up KB carries are a great way to increase that grip strength. Choose a weight heavy enough to challenge control of the bell. If you can holds it for 30 sec with no problem, you need to increase the weight! You can also walk with it to increase the difficulty.

I do this mobility flow when my back and hips feel tight or compressed. Stretching it all out and then adding some motion opens up the back and hips and helps reduce that tension. Try it if you feel stiff in your back or hips. These moves are also great for just getting some more motion in your spine.

I love utilizing foam rolling with my patients but sometimes that’s not enough! If you’ve been foam rolling with very temporary relief, try this!
Nerves don’t like to be compressed or stretched and when they get “stuck”, they become irritated and create pain that sometimes we think is muscle pain.
This exercise gently “flosses” or creates small back and forth motion to help your nerves “unstick” and glide freely. Think of the difference between walking through water vs mud.
If foam rolling alone isn’t helping, try this for longer relief.

Do you feel glute bridges more in your hamstrings? If so, try pushing your feet away from you instead of down through the floor. By doing this we activate our quads and thus deactivate our hamstrings through reciprocal inhibition. This allows u to fee our glutes working instead of our hamstrings.
