Daniel was discharged today. He is staying with me and I'm scared to death. He isn't even close to independent like I thought so we have a long hard stressful road ahead.

They are moving Daniel to Montgomery tomorrow!!! He is going to an inpatient PT hospital. He is doing fantastic!!! I'm sure he would love to receive some cards or letters from everyone so if anyone wants to send him something I'll send his details over as soon as I get them.

It's been a while since I updated y'all! I just wanted to let y'all know that Daniel is doing fantastic! His trach and feeding tube were removed. He is talking amazing! He can take his meds orally and he is eating solid food like a champ.

He does get super lonely up here so I've been trying my best to spend as much time with him as possible. He's moving around a bit but he has 2 boots on and trying to rebuild his strength in his arms. He has been doing some PT but they haven't been able to do much yet.

He was moved out of the critical care ICU room to a more private room in the ICU corridor. The goal is to move him down a floor to the PT floor so we can get him moving on his own.

He still needs help with feeding himself and grooming but he is coming along fantastic.

This man shouldn't be alive! By the grace of God he is prospering. The amount of electricity that went through him is unfathomable. His face suffered burns but you couldn't tell it if you seen him now! We are still working on healing the burns on his arms/hands and the exit wound.

Continue to pray for him! He is still fighting but I don't think he has any residual trauma internally to worry about. It's all about getting him mobile again. All of his organs have made full recoveries and he is doing all the work on his own now. He only had one tiny little IV attached to him now which is basically just still there in case he needs some meds he can't swallow on his own. I haven't seen them use it in the last week though.

As of yesterday Daniel is breathing on his own! He is talking more but it's still hard for him. Sometimes he can't say anything, sometimes he says something perfect but most of the time it's hard to understand what he is saying.

He is ready to get out of the hospital but it's not gonna be anytime soon. His motor skills have to be relearned and he is still being treated for his burns.

As far as I can tell his brain is functioning as it should. I haven't noticed any challenges. He is still stubborn as hell and refuses to take no for an answer.

They let him have ice chips yesterday and he just kept saying... Let me hit that water! Let me have that cup! I let him try to hold the cup but he just poured it all over himself. He got mad at me bc I wouldn't let him drink it and he said he would get up and get it himself but he literally can't do that so I thought that was kind of funny.

Daniel is now at Wellstar Cobb. They took him off dialysis but had to put him back on it. He had a debridement surgery on his burns today which I was told went well.

He has another infection, just not sure where it's coming from yet.

He also had another procedure which is a little concerning but I'll update on it as I find out more.

Hadn't seen him personally since Saturday so I'm missing him like crazy. Not sure when the next time I'll be able to see him :(

Keep him in your prayers. We aren't even at the halfway point.

This man seriously wants him some TikTok lol. I'm enjoying my day with him today and they say his vitals and agitation are a lot better since I've been here. Daniel is being so sweet!

He is off ecmo now and they are hoping to have him moved back to Wellstar Cobb tomorrow to continue his recovery.

Daniel is officially awake. HE is being weaned off ecmo and all other supports. Once he is off ecmo completely he will be transferred back to Wellstar Cobb.

This is truly a miracle but prayers are still needed!!! God is great!
