A little heartfelt reflection on being a mom and a business owner. 🤍

Early in my motherhood journey, I thought being professional meant keeping motherhood out of my work. If my son needed to be with me, if I had to pause to care for him, or if a lack of childcare affected my schedule, I felt less professional. As if being good at my job meant working like I wasn’t a mother.

Today, I see myself differently. Today, I know I’m a damn good professional!!!!

I know how committed I am to my clients, how seriously I take my responsibilities, and how much care I put into every tattoo. And I know how much planning and adjusting it takes to make it all happen.

My children are part of my life. Caring for them doesn’t erase my skills. Taking a break doesn’t diminish my talent. Needing support doesn’t mean I’m any less committed.

I’m still learning how to balance it all, and I have limits, too. But I no longer want to measure my professionalism by how well I can hide the fact that I’m a mother.

Today, I can take pride in the professional I am while honoring the mother I am, too.

As mothers who choose to pursue our careers while caring for our children, we deserve so much more than acknowledgment. We deserve understanding, respect, and real support. And we have to keep fighting for that.

Thank you to everyone who understands and supports me in every part of my life—as a professional and as a mother. Especially my clients: thank you for all the patience, kindness, and understanding you show me and, by extension, my children. It means more to me than you know. 🤍.

Tattoo season is officially here 🍂✨

Fall and winter are actually some of the best seasons to get a new tattoo. With less sun exposure, less sweating, and more time spent covered up, your skin gets a much better environment to heal properly.

Fresh tattoos and direct sunlight are definitely not best friends — UV exposure can irritate healing skin and, over time, contribute to fading and loss of definition.

So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to get that tattoo… cooler weather might be your sign. 🤎
